warning: it'll be a LOOOOONG way ahead, be aware of that, lol.
disclaimer: check your local legislation to make sure online poker is not
illegal, and be aware of UIGEA.
1) either FTP or PS will be fine, they're the two most reputable and largest
sites. before you sign up with FTP, make sure you read about FAQ and
rakeback.
we have weekly games on FTP and cash game on PS on sat., feel free to watch
or join us.
2) HUD, here more guys use holdem manager.
3) tourney books, harrington's are the core classic TAG ones. they cover
tons of strategies at diff. stages. personally i would not recommend any
other books unless you really master these first (i mean, not just brush
through).
if you still want more, i guess the kill series are good too, "kill phil"
and "kill everyone". they teach a lot about LAG and how to mix your games.
no need to buy them, if you google around, i think there're plenty "free"
ones to download online.

| f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 6 i'm only a small fish, you should tell me more, lol.
my humble opinion about LAG is:
LAG is actually a higher level of TAG. TAG is "easy" in a sense because it'
ll "work" in most common cases, and we won't make big mistakes. and this is
why books can summarize them. but the problem is, poker has evolved so much
over years, and by now most above avg. players all know TAG well, with diff.
only being whether they follow it well. some of us may think we're TAG, but
actually we're jsut being weak tight in general.
yet LAG requires more advanced hand reading, table dynamics, and meta game
skills. it's more or less like cooking, TAG is like cooking with some time
proven recipes, you can make good dishes over time and practice, but you're
not likely making great dishes.
the L in LAG comes from a step ahead of your opponent and make moves in more
marginal situations. it may look like a very risky move in a TAG's eye on
the surface, but it's not.
also, playing LAG requires a tough mindset and not be short-term result
oriented (as EV MM may say, lol).

| s*******o 发帖数: 4896 | 7 yes, i agree with you. I hope to know some throught processing and hand
reading skills related to LAG. Because I don't want to become a loose
fish if I open more hands during middle stages, lol.
is
much
diff.

and hand strength. Before you start loosening up, ask yourself this simple
question: "do you have enough skill to back it up?" if not tighten it up,
especially out of position.. it is that simple. | p****r 发帖数: 9164 | 10 there are certain format and certain sitution, LAG is the only winning
option.
like for HU play, you have to be LAG to be a winning player. for most short
handed middle-high stake game, it is true as well. But for game like rull
ring rush, I do not think playing LAG works well since there is no table
image/meta game issue.
Being a super nit is the way to go :) One of the biggest winner on my HEM
iwinulosehaha has only 10.5 ROI in 2/4 rush.

| c****1 发帖数: 457 | 11 just read harrington's book with your own judgement. understand the
rationale instead of particular hand advice. His suggested opening range is
a bit out dated. all other books about tournament have little use.
disucussions on forum such as 2+2 or pocketfives are more useful.
