the president election. Anyway Tongjiers' start to raise
their voices and play an active role in the states..

In fact, this has been done at tongji.org. But nobody cares
it.
We also have had it.
The keypoint is: How to attract the Tongjiers to post at our
forum
and feel it like a home.
it works much better.
It is too often right now since we don't have so much
information,
but will be better if lots of Tongjiers join us.
Those two are very feasible and useful.
I think it is funny. Many Tongjiers in US also need help.
Can we
use the money for the new coming Tongjiers in US? Can we use

Tongjiers work and study all over the states..Unlike China,
only most of alumni stay in sevral big cities. This website
can not make better than local subassociation..

alumni only have email address, not refer the place he/she
lives in..

(I don't mean we don't need help them, yes, they need help
but money can not do everything, the best way is to solve
the fundamental problem)
1.Set up a Scholarship is good, but it is better to set up a
company
which hires good & poor student
work not only for money but also working experience
this idea seems hard :)
2. Improve Tongji's reputation in USA/CHINA, let more and
more Tongjier come
to USA

to give someone skill is better than to give someone money
can you give them money all the life, even all 4 years?
I doubt it
for example,
2001 you support 4 students =4
2002 you support 4 new student + 4 old students =8
2003 you support 4 new student + 8 old students =12
2004 you support 4 new student + 12 old students =16
2005 you support 4 new student + 16 old students =20
From now on every year you support at least 20 students

of funding foundation! Nobel foundation is very famous, and
why they can increase their amonut for winners because they
invest their money into stock, currency and funding market.
that's the reason.
Let me see, 300 memebers are composed of TJUAAA. If every
guys can donate $100. Then totally is $30,000. According
moderate investment return, let we say, 10%/year. So about
$3000/year. Then use these money to support 5 or 6 poor
students.

I still think we should set up something to make the poor
students
to support theirself (just like us in USA to work for
degree/money)
