Most of us are engineer, professor, doctor etc, typical middle class.So a
lot of us are employed and do not have time and MOTIVATION to involve in the
politics.
However if one day you suddenly have your own small business , you will find
the politics is a huge deal. For example, the mill rate ( property tax) in
your town directly determines how much you will pay for your business every
year. You will want really badly to reduce the tax or get the tax exemption.
Two ways to do it: get a republic part mayor , or negotiate with the town
investment agency. Both will requite significant amount of involvement even
in the local politics!
Please do NOT ignore the local politics. It will be much more effective in
the local level. Sometimes tens of ballots will make a regime change in the
local level. And the amount of money involved is much less.Spending 10
thousand dollars in a local (town level election) is almost unheard of. So
if you can spend a few thousand dollars, you can effectively determine the
outcome of the local election.
So let's all open our own companies. Besides there are huge amount of
incentive and state matching fund if you open a high tech company. Those
benefits will not shared by you if you are a employed middle class. All
these benefits are for businessman only! Once you have money, you can get
more influence in the politics and in turn win more government contract! So
it is truly a positive feedback loop in a good way.
Remember USA is run by businessman. They are the king of this country! |
