Candidates and supporters alike have been focused on the number 1237, the
number of delegates a candidate needs to clinch the nomination. But a new
announcement from the RNC may change everything.

For Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, something magical
just happened to his magic number.
For weeks, Trump and his rivals have been fixated on the number 1,237,
which is the number Trump would need to secure a first-ballot nomination at
the Republican National Convention this summer.
On Wednesday, Republican National Committee member Randy Evans said that
in practice, Trump will need at least 1,100 delegates to win.
“If Donald Trump exceeds 1,100 votes, he will become the nominee even
though he may not have 1,237,” Evans said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
“If he gets less than 1,000 delegates, then I think we’re looking at
contested convention that could go on for many, many days,” he continued.
If Trump is “in the middle … that’s where the unbound delegates or
the delegates that have been released by other candidates come into play to
see if there are enough of those to get either (Sen. Ted) Cruz or Trump over
the finish line. Now we won’t know that until we get past California in
June,” Evans said.
“Evans’ comment is good news for Trump if it’s a sentiment shared by
other RNC members, since Trump is at risk of falling short of a majority of
delegates by the time of the convention in July. But Evans also warned that
if Trump slips much more, the nomination would likely fall to someone else,
” wrote Michele Hickford, Managing Editor on Allen B. West.

camp's team morale, voters stay home instead of fighting.
In the battle field you don't tell your own troops that the enemies
positions just got exponentially better. You need your troops to drag their
body to the polling station to win. It is all about team morale. That is
why people always say momentum is important. Momentum actually comes from
team morale which comes from the belief that your enemy is getting defeated.

。1200,以上还不提名床铺肯定革命了。他说的1100是个很靠谱的bar.超过1100的话那
些freed和unbound就得在开会之前纷纷表态我尊重选民意见。床铺如果到不了1000，那
就等于跟Cruz差距很小，确实也没底气说必须是自己。

，就算是赢，赢得越多也越好啊，对GE有推动作用。convention斗的你死我活，就算惨
胜也不是好事。
再说如果establishment真想彻底不要脸皮把trump搞下去，就算拿了1237也可以，跟那
个老邦菜说的，the party choose the nominee, not the voters。反正后果都一样。
也有可能是trump在NY的民调没有跌，RNC也不是铁板一块，个别不是坚决反trump的老
邦菜开始放口风选边站....
