心里有点着急，关于F1 OPT 延期的截止日期，听到了两种不同的说法，
律师告诉我说因为今年cap 还有名额，OPT可以延到H1B批准为止，
但学校international student office 说OPT只能延到9月30号。
哪种说法是对的啊？
PS: 我的background是科学类，但是工作不属于STEM 不能延期17个月 | S**I

petitions after April 1, and have not always requested an October 1 start
date. However, some students' OPT end dates were nevertheless shortened to
September 30, even though their H-1B employment would not begin until a
later date. What should the student do to correct this?
A11. The student should contact their DSO. The DSO may request a data fix in
SEVIS by contacting the SEVIS helpdesk.
