急着出门没管它
刚刚回来看到是热水器跳闸了 我合上后
现在大概2个多小时了 还是木有热水
请问热水器要烧多长时间才有热水啊 还是热水器坏掉了？ | s****g

但为什么会跳闸呢 仔细回想下 好像这几天热水都不是很热
我也没在意 直到今天早上说是没有热水了
自己换？ 怎么换啊？
或者谁推荐个工人 或者 介绍下 怎么弄啊？
大概多少米啊？
今天晚上冲了凉 希望明天能解决问题哦 谢谢啦

发帖数: 1028 | 6 跳闸 is caused by a short in your circuit.
To 自己换 maybe difficult for you based on your questions asked so far.
怎么换 is actually kind of east, turn off the elec to the unit, disconnect
the elec (usually loose a few screws holding the wires behind a cover),
drain water (there should be drain valve at the bottom of your unit),
disconnect the pipes (should be two).
To install, buy a new one of the same size (not just in gallon, but also in
shape, some are short and fat, some are more slim, if not you have to do
extra work with the pipes or may not even fit into the old space). put the
new one in the same spot as the old one (try to line up as much as possible)
, some unit may not come the two pipes that thread in on top (so you may
need to buy a install kit). connect the pipes (sometime you can reuse the
pipes you take off from the old unit depending how you take it off), connect
elec, fill water (open the valve on top), flip the switch in your elec
panel, you should hot water in less than 20 min.
Honestly, remove the old one is more work than put in the new one.
But you should consider hire a plumber to do the job.
Also tanked hot water heater all have short life (15 years at most),
consider getting a tankless version (which suppose to last much longer). If
you have to go with a tanked version, consider getting a heat pump version (
which will save you a lot in electricity and should last a bit longer than
the plain old resistor heating type)

貌似 这个 320 有点贵 实在找不到人了
问了中国人 大概是200多的价格 但是今天都没有时间

rules)
But most part of the US allow you to work on your home (you own) without a
license.
换气的原理上要有 permit, you can just put homeowner as contractor if you do
decide to pull a permit on this.
It is very east to do (basically adding some black iron pipes to that area),
sometimes adding an exhaust couold be the most difficult part. So T off the
nearest gas pipe and try to send the exhaust along with your heater.
I think going to a heat pump based heater (about $1K) should be your best
bet if the heater is located in a large unfinished basement area.

cheapest route for sure. Since you are paying such high labor, you should
have bought a 12 year unit instead of the 6 year (but maybe you are selling
your house in couple years)
Inside every water heater are metallic rods called anodes. The anodes (made
of magnesium, aluminum or some combination thereof) oxidize and break down
so the steel in your water heater doesn’t. Usually a 6-year water heater
has a small anode while 9 and 12 year water heaters have one larger or
sometimes two anodes. The key to making your water heater last is making
sure your water heater anode is still able to function.
Just remind yourself to hire some one (plumber) or learn to do this yourself
in about 5 to 6 years to replace the anode in the water heater. Actually
you should replace it with the best one you can find if you are paying
someone eles to do the job.
If you keep up the maintenance on the water heater (maybe you should replace
the heating element at the same time if you already got a plumber on site,
only a little extra parts cost), it should last much longer than it designed
for and you should have 热水 all the time.
One last thing, not sure how long you owned your house, but water heater
needs to flushed at least once per year as part of the on going house
maintenance.

I should just send you a private message, when I get some thing with my
house.
I choose the cheap one, because the 12-years' price is double of the 6-years

If the water heater is down in 12 years, I still have to pay for the labor,
and I should take the old one to home depot and exchange to a new one.
Then I think why not just get 2 6-year instead of 1 12 years. They are same
price. Then I can get 2 new water heater and also I don't have to take the
old one back to the store.
And yes, you are right. Currently I am single and live in this small
townhouse, and I think I have to get a larger house after marriage. I plan
to do it in 5 years. So 6 years is enough for me. : )
I know the labor is high, but I don't have any free day that I can stay at
home for the plumber on the weekdays. I called for some plumbers, they said
they can't do it on the same day or don't work on Sunday. It seems like that
I didn't have many choices at that time. Do you know how much is the
regular price for it?
I also saw some tankless water heater, do you have any idea with it? Is it
better than the one with tank?

I like to buy stuff that is energy efficient if possible.

我也是最近换过
不过由于指导原则是 换最大可能的尺寸
旧water heater 66 gallon 非标准
去service magic找了个contractor (David Brown Plumbing Doctors)
$600 parts $600 labor
换完inspection failed,
之后contractor不回电话
找service magic打电话抱怨了五六次
重新走铜管后又漏水以及约第二次inspection 都困难重重
前后折腾了两个多月 刚刚搞定
最后file a formal complaint
有史以来的最痛
刚又想起这事 准备去网站留了negative feedback
