you finish xxxx". I feel this kind of questions are condescending. I rarely

probably ask more politely for a timetable. Sometime work needs to be done
to meet deadline so people need to know your time table.
Learn to think more positively. If you were the manager and you need to know
how long everyone can finish his piece of work, what would you ask? A
direct question like this may be necessary. Typically we may ask "when do
you think this work can be done?".

如果平级，看看是出于啥目的，如果是居心不良，就含糊些。

currently busy with [whatever] projects; I'll try to get to it by [whatever]
date and let you know if I have any issues. If they have problem with your
answer, have them go talk to your manager. Of course, if you are not busy,
just get it done for them so they can get off your butt.

。团队合作的基本技能。
如实回答就好了。如果你无法准确估计，就告诉对方这是一个estimate。
