标 题: 好诗共赏：与主共骑人生路

At first, I saw God as my observer, my judge, keeping track of the
things I did wrong, so as to know whether I merited heaven or hell
when I die. He was out there sort of like a president. I
recognized His picture when I saw it, but I really didn’t know
Him.
一开始，我把上帝看作我的监察员和法官，专门记录我所犯的错，好知道我
死后该上天堂还是下地狱。祂对我而言也有点像总统，我一看到相片就知道
那是谁，但是和他本人却一点儿也不熟。
But later on when I met Christ, it seemed as though life were
rather like a bike ride, but it was a tandem bike, and I noticed
that Christ was in the back helping me pedal.
然而，当我后来遇见了基督，我的人生看来更像是在骑双人协力车，而且基
督就在后座帮我踩踏板。
I do not know just when it was that He suggested we change
places, but life has not been the same since.
我也搞不清楚祂是啥时候说要跟我换位置的，我只知道我的生命从此不再一
样了。
When I had control, I knew the way. It was rather boring, but
predictable…It was the shortest distance between two points.
当我骑在前面控制方向时，我知道要怎么走。旅途是有点沉闷，但却是可以
预测的…那是两点之间最短的距离。
But when He took the lead, He knew delightful long cuts, up
mountains and through rocky places at breakneck speeds, it was all
I could do hang on! Even though it looked like madness, He said,
“Pedal!”
但是当祂在前座领路时，祂会转进一些新鲜好玩的岔道、往山上直衝、以惊
险万分的高速飇过石砾地，我所能做的只有紧紧抓住。即使看来很疯狂的路
程，但祂仍说：「继续踩！」
I worried and was anxious and asked, “Where are you taking
me?” He laughed and didn’t answer, and I started to learn to
trust.
我又担心又焦虑，问祂：「祢要把我带去哪儿？」祂却笑而不答，於是我开
始学会交託。
I forgot my boring life and entered into the adventure. And when
I say, “I am scared, “He would lean back and touch my hand.
我把乏味的生命抛在脑后，踏入探险旅程。当我说：「我好怕！」祂会向后
靠，摸摸我的手。
He took me to people with gifts that I needed, gifts of healing,
acceptance, and joy. They gave me gifts to take on my journey,
my Lord’s and mine.
祂把我带到一些人面前，他们有医治、接纳和喜乐等等我所需要的礼物。他
们给我这些礼物，好让我带著上路——我主和我的旅程。
And we were off again. He said, “Give the gifts away; they’re
extra baggage, too much weight.” So I did, to the people we met,
and I found that in giving I received, and still our burden was
light.
当我们再度上路，祂说：「将这些礼物分送出去。它们又重又累赘。」我照
做了，把它们分送给所遇见的人，竟然发现我愈分送自己就得的愈多，而我
们的负荷仍然轻省。
I did not trust Him, at first, in control of my life. I thought He’d
wreck it; But He knows bike secrets, knows how to make it bend
to take sharp corners, knows how to jump clear high rocks, knows
how to fly to shorten scary passages.
起初我不信任祂, 不能把生命的主控权交给祂,
我以为祂会毁了它。但祂真的知道骑双人协力车的诀窍。祂知道如何弓身急
转弯，祂知道如何跳过高高的岩石，祂知道如何以飞跃来缩短惊险的路段。
And I am learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest places,
and I am beginning to enjoy the view and the cool breeze on my
face with my delightful constant companion, Jesus Christ.
我学会了默然不语，在最怪异的地方继续踩著踏板前进。我开始能与我那不
离不弃的伴侣耶穌基督一同享受沿途风光和吹在脸上的清凉微风。
And when I’m sure I just can’t do anymore, He just smiles and
says…”Pedal.”
当我以为我再也撑不下去时，祂只是微笑地说：「继续踩！」
