be humble, soft and skillful when talking with the department chair, do not
be too demanding regarding offer details, money, start-up budget, etc... you
will have time to review the offer details once it's official, and you will
have a few weeks to accept it or reject it. At this point it's critically
important to GET the offer first, everything else is secondary. | l*****a

发帖数: 2198 | 4 haha, I guess I am not older than you.. I only have a master's degree and
just started working in the industry. The above comments are simply some
basic principles during offer negotiation (or communicating with higher-
level managers, if you will) here in U.S. Take it easy, you will get the
offer soon. just be cautious and speak less during the conversation tomorrow.
