This cannot be used to prove he is not in his peak time. Maybe his peak
performance cannot beat other baseliners any more. The better way to prove
if he is in his peak time is to compare his winning ratio against other S&
Vers. This way, we can rule out the possibility of baseliners' dramatic
improvements.
In 1999 and 2000, Sampras is ranked behind baseliners (Agassi & Kafelnikov
in 1999, Kuerten & Safin in 2000). He is still the best S&Ver in those two years.

That was my point. When you are 27, just started to decline, being
challenged by a bunch of 27-29 year-old guys is nothing like being
challenged by some 23/23 year-old guys.
If there are one or two guys over 27 are still at the top of the game, you
can say he's a genius, like Sampras, Agassi, Federer, or Connors. If the
majority of top 10 are guys over 27, you can only say the next generation (5
years younger, 22/23 years of age) is weak.

ZT: from Andre Agassi:
"牛皮糖"= pusher?

Some tennis people say Davydenko is overdue for a grand slam title, meaning
he is ready for such a title for a long time.
If in any case this is to happen soon: his weapons to win the titles are:
1) To hit balls on rise, Agassi was the guy that used to hit successfully
a lot of balls on rise, but now, it seems Davydenko could do a better job.
He took closely 50% of his forehand returns on rise by stats in his match
against Rafa.
2) His abilities to move those top players from side to side wi

tennis maybe an elegant sport, but the process of training to be

I don't think money is the motivation for this book. He wants to show his

Agree on Agi, rules are rules, no matter what drug was used, although your
story has no similarity to Agassi's case.
However, the WADA has 8 year limitation. so it will up-to ATP for its own
decision. maybe some fine but hopefully, not the "Tennis Hall of Fame"...

I used the story to discuss this:
is a liar considered an honest man if he confesses?
The story is not an exact analogy - actually no analogy is perfect. so just
get my point and don't be picky.
As to Agassi, my standpoint is clear. He broke the rule to get some prize
money, so he should return the money. So you think the foot fault rule
should be revisited?
As to your first story, the old man is the rule maker. Whatever decision he
makes is reasonable, because he can make rules any time. I didn

I don't think anyone will think this man is a "good" man or should inherit
everything just because he confessed. But he is indeed more honest on this
matter than another murderer who never confessed.
In Agassi's case, he was a "bad boy" in his young ages anyway. What do you

"If he is as fair play as he says he is, he has to go to the end," Safin

劳模 and Agassi's style is the way Asian players should learn from.
Just like in TT, asians like to stay close to table, play right after
the ball bounce and use speed to win points, whereas Nadal's style is
so called western style, move far away from court and hit balls on
the dropping time, generate a lot of top spin to limit court errors.

agassi was a lot lighter when he was younger, i would guess tennis players
should maintain their body weight roughly height(cm) - 100 to 105 for kg,
check out all those top players, the lightest is actually that 198cm USOpen
champion.
劳模 actually looks very fit and healthy, the light body gives him speed,
i would guess if he gains 5-10 more weights, that would slow down his
games and lower down his levels according to his style. even if all those
extra weights he gained are muscle.

That's why they are the elite of the elites - the ability to stay calm and
focused, and not allow previous mistakes rattle your next shot. I think it
is an innate ability - the drive to succeed - this is what separates the
greatest from merely the great.
You can see it in all previous greatests as well - Sampras, Agassi, Lendl,

It's not really a "switch", but rather in the face of adversity, how they
