bulb如果种的深，上面可以撒种子，我种了些poppy，根系浅，不影响地下面的球茎。

发帖数: 13917 | 8 今年的剑兰刚开几颗，它生长的地方也是春天tulips开花的地方。他们间种的，tulips
die down之后，现在轮到剑兰了。
很多同学喜欢郁金香（还有春天其它bulb类的，比如藏红花，水仙，风信子等），但是
有一个问题很头疼。就是郁金香发芽很早，开花也早。花谢了，自然die down，大概需
要一个月时间。一个月之后，就光秃秃的一片空地，大概也就是5月底，6月初了（北方
）。怎么办？夏天还没有开始呢，空地很难看，发愁弄点神马东西补补。
首先补的东西的根不能长的太大，最好也是bulb类的。种的时候，要和其它bulb间种，
不要种到其它的头上。
第一年，我补种过些annual的东西，象叶子带颜色的热带小植物，impatient等，效果
不佳。因为种他们的时候都很热了，天太热的时候，新种的东西总是长不好，根扎不好
，总是蔫蔫半死不活的，也不好看。
去年就试着补种些夏天／秋天开花的perennial，效果不错。剑兰，百合就是其中之二
（还有小丛的mums）。剑兰和百合都是夏天开花。在北方，他们发芽比较晚了，基本上

发帖数: 13917 | 9 忙忙碌碌的一年又过去了，曾经热热闹闹的花园现在神马都不剩了，俺也正式进入休眠
期。想想如果一年4季都忙，那还不累死俺。今年春天开始育了不少花苗，大体来说还
是很成功的，给夏天的花园添了很多annual的品种，达到的预期的效果，比如说zinnia
，aster，早春分窝的mums，dahlia等。今年舔了很多新品种，有玫瑰，dahlia，bee
balm，绣球等。第一次养玫瑰，算是养的还行，跟版上的牛牛们学了很多东西，如果说
如何施肥，浇水，除害虫等，希望明年花花们更争气，那几个爬墙的能早日上墙。
dahlia养的不是很好，没能及时疏枝和上support，希望明年能吸取教训让它开的更多
。绣球被我种在角落里，没能照顾周到，到现在还很矮。
种花的时候，要把花期不同的品种搭配着种，比如说这个花谢了，旁边的才刚开始长起
来，这样互不干扰。如果水肥充足，也不用担心他们争抢。典型的就是把春天开花的
bulbs和其它的间种，比如说Iris，mums，daylily，daisy等种一起都很好。不要等初夏
的时候bulbs类的都干了，光秃秃的一大片一直到秋天就很难看。

youtube video about Tulip planting, in fact you can spray red pepper powder
to deter Squirrels or rabbits, some people recommend to plant a few Daffodil
bulbs or stones with Tulips. This is my first year planting tulip bulbs,

primary reason it is hard to eradicate this kind of oxalis.
For chemical control, one can try herbicides with glyphosate (e.g. Roundup)
or at least 8% triclopyr (e.g. Ortho CCO) as the ingredient. Make sure you
read the labels carefully as glyphosate is non-selective (i.e. kill all) and
triclopyr is selective (i.e. kill some including some warm season grasses).

以了。
如果其他地区，球茎可以留在盆子里也可以。就是把盆子放一个干燥的地方就可以。
球茎休眠期，如果土壤长期湿润，容易导致球茎腐烂。
另外，bulb mites到处都有。我喜欢每年收起来，这里，可以知道我的球茎有没有被
mites侵害。如果有的话，土赶紧倒掉。把球茎好好清理。或者重新买新的。
说到Bulb mites.很多时候，球茎植物越种越种越少，bulbs mites也是罪魁祸首之一。 |

entertaining replacing the fixture for one that uses gu5.3 just so I can
use these bulbs. They had 10 left on the shelf when I got there (not anymore
.) Made by Philips and are rated for 20 years. They run on 12 volts and use
4 watts, and replace 20 watt halogen MR16. The "soft white" light are $4 and
the "cool white" were $19. HUGE savings if you can use gu5.3 fittings. On

检。今年搬了家，还在宾州，年检就没过，emission fail。
检查的说service vehicle soon （SVS) 灯亮了。可是malibu有两种灯，SVS（亮着）
和 engine check （没亮）。 SVS亮了好几年了，每次都过年检。现在的车铺
说service vehicle soon灯亮， 要error code但是他们读不出来， 要求我去chevy
dealer 那里读， 100刀。可是SVS没有code可读，这不是浪费钱吗？
有没有大牛支个招？比如去另一家试试?

I drove 3 american SUV/trucks and one japanese car in the past. The japanese
car always has big and small problems. American SUV/Truck never had big

expensive, $4.5 for pack of 2 (Long life type) at Wal-Mart.
The installation is very simple, 5-minute job. You don't even need any tool,
just your hands.
- Open trunk first.
- Take out a small black cover(like 5" x 5") from inside of trunk area that
corresponds to the lamp assembly for one side (say driver side first). The
cover is flexible. You just need to squeeze it a bit to take it out.
- Take out the bulb.
