Newsom Credits Marriage Equality for Career

California, said Tuesday that he believes his decision to allow same-sex
marriages in 2004 helped him win reelection.

people, including someone who worked in NSF before. However, in the one-page
summary, you should use "the PI" instead of "I". |

不过俺实在不知道如何convince别人。每次俺觉得特别convincing的写法，大家都认为
不知所云。俺想用比喻来解释的问题，大家都觉得比不做比喻更加难懂。所以，私下里
虽然俺觉得俺的idea很不错，可惜proposal的中奖率比出车祸的概率都低。

not work. You need to have a list of pending support. If they find the
similar one there, your chance can be very small.

我的SUBMISSION越看越糟糕，现在都不敢看了，怕吐出来，或者恶心死自己。估计这回
CAREER的PANEL REVIEW里我的PROPOSAL至少要整出几个脑溢血或者心肌梗塞什么的，暂
时性休克或者失明都算是轻的。不过这样好歹可以为我们这个行当贡献出几个POSITION
来。
哪天如果混不下去了想自杀，无须跳楼服毒上吊，看一遍我自己的PROPOSAL就行，高效
无毒，简单快捷。 |

scriber, in charge of summarizing the discussion. 一个proposal如果有一个负
责的panelist不喜欢 and that panelist has a strong personality, 基本上就没戏了
我参加的两次,所有的proposal都被put in a ranked list: the top few are
considered must-fund, the bottom half are eliminated, the middle few are
subject to funding availability and other political reasons (such as whether
the proposal is from a minority investigator)

No, no, no. I meant to call the PM before submission to understand whether
the proposal is a good fit. Never contacting them after submission and
before
the result is reveal. |
