听了朋友的介绍，这个学期在Mission College注了一门 intermediate Badminton
的课。开学已经去上了两次/周，给大家汇报一下情况：
时间：
从开学到结束，每周一次，星期三晚7：00到10：00。学期大概4个月，18周。
当时听说这门课一个学分，只有18块，就兴致勃勃地跑去排队注册了。到那里
才发现涨价了26块了，有很多hidden fee，什么lab fee, body fee, health
fee，共49块。利利普，掐指一算，嗯，$49爽18回，还可以。
地点：
当然是在 Mission College了，就是 AMC Mercado 旁边，就是利利普在某个
周末上驾校的旁边。好，废话少说，说说场地吧。球场是 mission college
的 gym，好像是个篮球场。隔成8个羽毛球场，两边各有两个fountain（赞
不用带水了），场馆外有个loc |

按说空军是最难进的,

先回顾这10场比赛赛况。
1. Northwestern @ Illinois(UIUC)
比赛中，前3节，西北大学占优，28－17。第四节刚开始，本场比赛表现良好的、久伤
归来的西北QB Persa再次受伤。这一受伤，士气、心气也撼动了西北球员，于是Illini
借机连下2城(TD)，赢得领先。接近尾声时，西北大学奋力搏击，获得TD反超，不料
Illini的QB在最后18秒一个TD又拿回优势。西北在10多秒的时间里，回心无力，失去了

字。
2003年的5月中旬，随着LG的job offer我们一家从中西部搬到了马里兰。第一站就是直
奔College Park,那里有同学，也离学生群不远，我们喜欢这样的学生环境。初到
College Park是失望的，这里的黑人真是多啊，秩序很乱，1号路上一有马大的球赛就
堵车堵得不得了，晚上都不敢去downtown。刚到美国的第一个月，恰逢我和我老公的
Anniversary,老公兴致勃勃的搜索了一家法国餐馆，想浪漫一下，结果地形不熟的他，
居然最后在满街黑人乱转的地方找到了那个法国餐馆，吓得我们只好回家。
回家的路上倒是看到了一号路上的Days Inn下的韩国餐馆Yi Jo,同是韩菜粉丝的我们一
头扎了进去。后来几个纪念日也多数在那里过的，成了习惯。美国的韩国菜比起南开周
围的简直太宰人了，我们一边吃还是一边想念着天南街上那个有棵红树的韩国风味小店
，更想念八里台下的韩国烧烤，那种40人民币吃的2个人垫着肚子走的 |

University of Cincinnati。那是我老公毕业的学校，我曾经那么想去和他一起做
compus lover，我曾经那么积极的申请，我曾经创造了只申请一个学校但拿到全奖的
100%命中率虽然美国文科很难申请，可是我被签证官的两个No,和UC失之交臂，甚至差
点和US无缘。
另一个Dream School就是马大了。我在College Park住了2年多，离马里兰大学那么近
，却不是他的正式学生，这种感觉有点象做人小老婆一样，羡慕大老婆的位置，遗憾自
己万来一步。我到College Park是03年5月中旬，匆忙开始申请，马大的规定是死的，
说Deadline 2月15号就是2月15号，任何努力似乎都是徒劳，为了争取一年的青春，我
在那年8月选择了白宫边上的GW。都说私立学校更好，可是那真是有钱人的地方，学生
开奔驰从车库出来的比比皆是，相比之下，我更喜欢马大，虽然有很多黑人学生，我一
开始很不习惯。

反正家里不缺钱，孩子成绩又不错，上LAC或上公立名校都行。以后又不指望孩子读名
校找好工作挣钱养我们，但就这一两个宝贝女儿，送去公立大学校，比如UFL, UT
AUSTIN这些party school说不定孩子就毁了，去那些几万人的大学校喝酒嗑药是常事不
说，女儿要是结交不三不四的朋友搞不好到大二大三就被哪个黑人墨墨搞大了肚子。干
脆在家门口多花点钱上个college得了，圈养起来有人管，四年大学不会出啥岔子，嗯
