走在思想和世界观成型三叉路口的娃娃：
6-8年级是娃娃探索期（大概在4年级-9年级）的后半期，这是娃娃成长过程中一个最
被忽略了的也是最关键的阶段。这时的孩子开始有了自己独立思考的能力，但问题又想
不清；有了自我探索的愿望和行动，但又不知道如何是好；有了求知的冲动，又不好意
思说的尴尬。这时，最需要父母引导。
父母最容易犯的错误：
从父母的角度看，现在娃娃怎么了？不像以前鞍前马后唯命是从，反而是事事闹别拗、
唱反调。是不是Teenage叛逆了？ 其实不是娃娃要叛逆，是父母太沉浸在孩子小时，娃
娃可爱又听话的甜蜜时光。跟不上形势，落后了！
建议： 克服自我，引导孩子上正途：建立娃的自信和父母相互理解，多谈心和互动消
除可能隔阂，不要以成人的标准要求孩子，把走在三叉路口的娃娃引上最适合发展正途

发帖数: 743 | 27 在加州I-5某个下坡处，在想某个事情，想得有点生气，踩重了油门，开到100mph，立即意识到，赶紧放开油门，轻点刹车（因为前面挺空的，我就想让车自己慢下来），但是已经晚了，警车过来。给我上庭单（上面没写要罚多少）。第一次violation，当时就懵了，也没问警察什么，但依稀记得他说我这个要扣三点，说要是在前面那个口就是扣六点（好像是这么说）。
现在请问我该怎么办？第一次碰到这种事情，一点也不懂。单子上好像让我2月初上庭，但到时我会在国内。另外庭在几小时之外。
单子上有两个大选项：
1. If you do not contest the violation
a. pay the bail amount
b. traffic school
c. correctable violation (但是单子正面好像写着这个不是correctable
violation)
2. If you contest the violation
a. court trial
b. trial by written declaration

parking ticket， 原因是停在了red zone。
由于头天晚上到达得时间太晚， 到达之前朋友告诉说，注意要扫街的时间段不能停车
， 转悠了好久才挤进个spot，特地看了些扫街的时间，第二天可以趴。 当时光线比较
暗，没注意到curb上的红色漆(再加上自己的车挡住了光线，晚上就更加看不清楚油漆
了)。 现在，到原来泊车的地方看过，也没有 no parking on red zone的标志（大农
村的没见过世面，在小疙瘩地方没遇到过刷油漆）。
打了ticket上的电话，接线员说会反映情况，然后会给自己寄信。由于自己找工搬家，
加上usps不给力，一直没收到parking office的信。今天打过去问说， 已经超过21天
， 不能contest the ticket。
请问大家：目前，还可不可以拿到hearing的机会？ 虽然contest ticket的机会很渺茫
， 一来想试一试， 二来想去见过世面。 现在有个concern, 如果contest失败的话，

去这个法庭网站好好看看。第一次选no contest和第二次有什么关系啊？你照样可以选
。只是第一次如果是no contest + defensive driving，在一年内就不行了，但可以选
no contest并申请parole. 看看你这次这个法庭有没有这个可选。既然你一年内没
defensive driving过，你这次就仍可能有机会用这个。让你去查该法庭的网站，你去

4月份收到一个handicap parking ticket, 忘记挂placard了，$475,北加。隔天打电话
去city问，说可以带齐资料in-person contest.悲催的是receipt扔了：上面有停车卡
注册人的资料和有效期。隔天立刻去DMV打印一张，结果新receipt显示停车卡的有效期
是当天开始，而不是原来的日期（去年11月），工作人员说系统就是这么设置的，没有
办法更改。见supervisor,同样的答案，但是给打了一张谁都看不懂的DMV内部使用的
history,可以看到有效期就是初次申请时间。
首次in-person contest:资料齐全，没理由被拒，结果真被忽悠了。工作人员说车主（
我）和停车卡名字不一样，让我写信appeal.告知我们的insurance 是family plan,家
里所有的车都在我名下。回复：理解的，但是他没办法判，说写信就可以。
第二次：写信说明了receipt的时间问题和车的注册问题，附上所有文件的复印件。1个

期望的偏低，应该和自己的background有关，毕竟之前不是CS的，不知道和面试过程是
否有关？
我是骑驴找马，朋友refer的，自己没有积极找别家，中间就一个startup的面试，还是
recruiter自己找上来的。G店面后说slow down了，要等明年，我也就没有再准备，后
来打电话说有opening和我的background match, 让我试试，scheduled onsite in two
weeks. 两周准备只能靠晚上和周末的时间。主要是本版的面经，leetcode和名校cs的
slides, 不懂的查wiki。onsite整个过程没有什么特别的。问题不难，只遇到一个有点
算teaser的题吧，当时没有什么idea, 提示后做出。其它的题都在本版cover了。感觉
无非就是想办法BS（logn. 之前自己在纸上练习写code, 对于白板，个人觉得比纸方便
，我是一手拿笔一手拿擦子，整个过程还算smooth,偶尔碰到白板写不下，转弯继续写

1. Plead not guilty
2. Plead guily. (Payment must be included)
3. Plead nolo contendere (no contest) (Payment must be included)
请问第二项和第三项在后果上有什么区别？
如果不想出庭，是否可以选择 no contest?
