Was requested JIT and rebuttal by the PO after summary statement was
released. JIT was requested before the council automatically (not from the
PO).
Talked to the PO before submitting my response/rebuttal and he said theres
reason for optimism, although mine also seemed to be at the border line...

从施瓦茨到布朗，从Feinstein到Boxer，都是高铁的坚定的支持者。Feinstein
和Boxer刚刚从奥巴马那里弄来了两笔共差不多30亿美元的联邦经费。这个大饼
岂是一两个City Council就能轻易砸掉的。加州人民都投过票了。
Palo Alto City Council这样做反而可能是干了坏事。如果同意建火车站，
铁路两边的房子可以重新划成商业和公寓区。这样现有的房主反而可能卖
房子卖个好价钱。现在不建火车站了，铁路两边的房子即使重划成可建商用
和公寓房的区域，恐怕也没有几个地产商感兴趣。对铁路两边的房价的打击

Council members Pete Constant昨天质问反对pension改革的对手，"Is it morally
responsible for my children to each be saddled with $3,000 to $5,000 of debt
the minute they're born?" 对手无言以对。作为San Jose的Council members,你应
该为5000的市府雇员服务，还是为1百万的San Jose纳税人服务？作为一个公民，我们
只因为他是华人，就是非不辨投票给他吗？
现在San Jose每年超过80%的预算属于employee cost，所以现在连图书馆都经常关。如
果不作任何改变，几年后纳税人的钱都付做employee cost都不够，所有公共服务都可
以关掉了。难道我们还要支持这样的华裔Council member?

今天下午全程参与了Cupertino Council member meeting，从最开始，cupetino 的市
长 Gilbert Wong (此人是不是民主党？)就搅混水说John A. Pérez已经withdraw了
SCA 5，问是不是应该把这个特殊meeting的SCA 5议题拿掉？ 2个白人counciler回应说
： 目标已经没有了，还讨论什么？
Barry Chang，马上站住来，hold住说： 我读到的Perez 的statement是"H A L T",发
音是halt，哪里有withdraws的字眼？请继续讨论议题！
从整个会议的来，Barry的态度明确，purely stand for 华裔 （甚至可能给人有bias
的感觉）. 他够strong，够tough，hold his stand。我个人很喜欢Barry, 感觉他的
tough其实就是我们华裔在现阶段急需的leadership，而不是那些骑墙派的摇摆。

JACL (Japanese-American Citizens League）学习：
各个地区/各个名字的华人组织组成一个大的全国性League，各个区域性组织作为相对
独立的chapter，大家互相声援！各个Chapter在全国性的league Council Commitee中
间有投票权，遇到全国性的大事情由全国Commnitee Council 投票决定action，local
的事情local Chapter自己内部Council 投票决定，但是可能会得到全国性的支援。
可以考虑一个总的名字，像 Chinese-American United League等等。如果我们能把这
个事情办成，对于提升海外华人的地位实在是功德无量啊 |

量把参加选举的华裔信息综合起来。 主要是从不同帖子或是微信上搜集信息。。。 我
就无节操盗用了。 如果你有啥最新信息或是这里有信息不对的， 请联系我。希望这
次有多多华裔被选上，有更多华裔参政，发出自己的声音， 为自己族裔谋福利， 也同
时为建设更好的美国社会。
虽然不是没给人都可以参选， 但是大家都可以力所能及的做些事情，这些只需要话你
很少时间， 譬如2分钟打一个电话拜票， 说不定就会为你所支持的华裔参选人争取到
一票， 比浪费在网上无谓的争执强多了。下面列举了大致可以做的事情，根据在美国
的法律身份。
公民：选举， 捐款，扫街，电话拜票。
绿卡：不能选举，除此之外都可以。
其他合法身份：不能选举， 不能捐款，除此之外都可以。
特别是有高中生的家长，请鼓励你的孩子参加这种社会活动，会锻炼他们社交能力，会
有Credit，而且还有机会和州务卿面对面交流。具体情况可以PM我。
从现在的信息看来， 没有华裔是两两直接竞争关系， 所以不需要整的很Ugly. 大家

- How well did he represent the constituents? He failed.
Failed to response constituents' voices in March 2014 and closed his office
to avoid people's visit
- How did people view his performance? Poor rating.
One year before the election of 2014, he chose to move to San Jose district
1, which he thought was in most favor of him. It turned out the he was

你搞反了吧？孙晓光是Ro Khanna的"Chinese Community and Marketing Adviser"。他
出来选，自己票数很低，但是分了华裔候选人的票。再加上有人冒充Andy Huang的团队
出来号召bullet vote，还有SVCA在最后关头莫名其妙停止为Andy Huang助选，导致
Andy Huang落选。唯一的印度裔候选人Savita打败多位华人候选人，成为Cupertino有
史以来第一个印度裔council member。Savita仅仅比Andy多了180票，可以说完全是靠
各路汉奸团结协作才打败Andy。
我可以预言，在广大汉奸的“助选”下，以后Cupertino印度裔council member会越来
越多，华裔council member会越来越少。 |
