1. Your publications make you competitive enough for for a faculty position.
2. You don't have a record of funding. That is a weak point.
3. At least from your description, I don't see a strong sign of you being
independent. You have to be able to demonstrate that you have a vision in
term of what you want to do for your own lab, which can potentially lead to
funding.
4. C. elegans is quiet out of favor these days as far as funding goes. It
can be hard for newcomers.

来的，老公是靠Olfactory receptors得诺奖的Richard Axel，今年刚拿了一个300w的
大奖，还是Obama的Brain Mapping Project的几个leading scientists之一，光环无限
啊。居然在Vogue上有个关于她的很长的采访，里面可以看到她对C elegans和
neuroscience的解释和介绍，针对的却是关心fashion的vogue的读者，真是不容易。

里保存细菌菌种和线虫种群(C. elegans, 其近亲就是一种致病性寄生虫）就是用低温
速冻，目的就是不杀死细菌和虫子已达到永久保存的目的，所以你们这种说法不make

Basically, if you already get a organism's finished sequences, to sequence its
related species might only need to be draft oriented. For example,
C.elegans vs. C.briggsae. Thus, draft sequences is widely used in comparative

6944674. 可是因为有个字：complement, 我就不知道该如何算pqn-46's promoter

controled spatially, and there is no way to knock-out gene, transgene tech
almost always express too much because of multiple copy, and it is also most
of time unstable.
mouse is very slow and quite risky.
Recently, genome wide RNAi in fly is well established, you can K-down any
gene in any fly tissue, recently two RNAi screen papers just published in
Cell and there would be more. There are projects tagging every fly gene |

microarray+large data analysis这样的研究。。就是很纯的科学研究吧。
一方面是对这些东西比较有兴趣（我觉得genome的研究还是很有前途吧?因为现在对
genome的认识还非常少）另外一方面，是比较希望有quantitative science方面的训练
，以后也是希望可以做多学科交叉的那样的方向吧。
而这样的research，（用quantitative手段的），肯定要放在比较简单的systems里面
做吧？比如yeast，最多C elegans，有放到老鼠里去做的吗？（个人愚见，拍砖）因为
感觉这种genome的研究本身就是和model关系不大的吧。
然后一定要偏向医学研究，都做到老鼠水平才能在industry有个退路吗？比如我做
genome，对那些sequencing的东西比较内行，是不是也可以在industry找到工作呢？
