之后总是莫名其妙的电脑就经常freeze住
画面，鼠标符号都不动了
因为是随时的，也不知道到底是怎么回事，想拿回去修Dell估计查不出什么毛病来
就一直凑合着用
今天mcafee升级重启之后就再也重新进入不了windows了，总是freeze在启动过程中
删除mcafee，问题就解决了，一下午再没freeze了
大家有过类似问题没？怎么解决的？ |

我曾经试过多种办法提没有降解（用Bio-Rad or Agilent Bioanalyzer测integrity or
quality (RNA Integrity Number (RIN) by Agilent or RNA Quality Index (RQI)
by Bio-Rad)，不是仅仅用Nanodrop测RNA integrity or quality）的total RNA，然后
做microarray．
1.液氮研磨：RNA quality好，可以做microarray，但是麻烦和太慢（原因你应该知道
）。
２. Glass tissue homogenizer: it didn't work for me to grind tissue in
Trizol in ice bucket with ice, although my tissue was thin and tiny.
Bioanalyzer showed RNA degradation.It's also low through-put.

我的学生们用的MacBook Pro (分别生产于2011，2012，2013年），一共8台。
存在问题：
1）2011，2012，2013年的Chrome经常freeze，不过这个我不能确定是因为硬件过热呢
还是因为Chrome和其它软件比如Flash冲突。我只知道它们freeze的频率远远高于其他
学生和我自己的PC。
2）2011，2012年的power adapter的线经常折断，要重新买power adapter。这个问题
在PC中是极其少见的，应该是power adapter的设计问题。
3）2013年的power adapter特别厚重，两眼插头插在墙上插座上不停地掉下来，我只好
用胶带把它们固定在墙上。我观察我自己的PC，都是三眼插头连一根很长的线，然后是
一个大的power adapter，然后又是很长的线连我的PC，这种设计就不会有苹果笔记本
那样的问题。
4）两个学生的2011年机器分别缺一个键帽。十几年前我的PC也经常会这样，但现在我
的PC都是巧克力键盘，从来不掉键帽。 |

一直都是用Windows 10，虽然有点慢，但也可以忍受，Bash就用Cygwin，或者Windows
自带的Linux sub system，也都还比较方便。
噩梦从前天开始，Windows 10自己给我升级到Windows 10 April 2018 Update，早上醒
来一开机（应该是Windows 10已经启动了），光登陆就花了我20分钟。然后进去，啥都
动不了，整个系统给freeze了。好不容易打开System monitor，一看硬盘利用率100%。
我以为可能什么进程在后面读写什么东西，就重启电脑，结果过了2个小时，系统还没

The new update of windows10 changed the indexing method which needs to re-
index all files on disk that is why the first startup takes forever and the
superfetch has 100% disk usage.
Actually all the common Linux distros have even much severe freezing issue
if you turn on indexing and system-wide file search. In most distro, it
makes system unusable if the home dir is not empty. So by default it is
turned off.
