人类发展到21世纪，科技飞速发达然而智商却出现下降，尤其是1975年以后出生的年轻
人，智商（IQ）平均得分要比其父辈低。
它似乎显示，人类变得越来越笨。真是这样吗？这其中有什么原因呢？
这是根据丹麦、英国、法国、荷兰以及芬兰这几个西方国家调查和研究的结果。据信这
是对此现象首个比较权威性的研究。
世界人口智商在第二次世界大战（1939-1945）后有显著上升，并且在其后的60-70年中
呈现稳固上升阶段。英国《泰晤士报》的近日报道这样说。
这一现象也被称为弗林效应（Flynn effect），即指智商测试的结果逐年增加。

人向广电总局投诉神剧《花千骨》每集开头的前情提要太过冗长，有严重的滥充播出时
间之嫌；不料我这里要冒着滥充字数之嫌稍微回忆一下很久之前的上一篇落下的部分。
时间轴上我们已经来到了1942年。从战争角度，这可是十分关键的一年。在欧洲的东线
战场，苏联刚刚在莫斯科保卫战中惨胜曾经所向披靡的德军，但却没有能力将德军一举
击溃，精疲力竭之际双方陷入僵持。苏军也曾试图在春暖之际发动攻击驱赶德军，然而
却碍于人员素质、指挥能力和装备上的差距最终以失败收场。太平洋战场上，虽然年初
日本还曾接着偷袭珍珠港成功的余威在东南太平洋以近乎横扫的方式快速席卷了整个东
南亚，从而占据了重要的战略资源生产地，但加入战争的美军马上显示出其扭转局势的

了参数。当然，在别的开源软件中（如NWChem）b3lyp也就用的是becke的参数值。我想

一家是NYC的某国际著名银行个人信用风险部门；另外就是一家保险公司；都是猎头主
动找到我。
那家保险公司的HM先给了个电话面试【HM是ivy统计博士】，主要问了我简历上列的技
术方面的东西。比如一些市场研究的工具，MCA，MDS等，这些方法是啥，跟
CATEGORICAL DATA ANALYSIS的联系等；然后就是一些数据挖掘和统计方面的问题，典
型的问题就是这么几大类：
分类问题中变量筛选的方法和过程，比较各类方法的优劣；
非线性函数关系的处理方法，比较各类方法的优劣以及如何在SAS/STAT中搞出来这些方
法；
另外问了我在简历里面提到的一些我以前的projects，包括背景和技术细节；
最后问如何建立MAXIMIZE LIKELIHOOD FUNCTION和MINIMIZE CLASSIFICATION ERROR
RATE之间的关系，我认为什么数据挖掘方法比较有前途【这个确实仁者见仁，呵呵】。
其实这两个问题我猜他是要问boosting和ensemble，特别是Hastie等人那篇AOS的文章

神经科学不算是一门年轻的学科，很早以前，人们就开始了对大脑的认识和研究；
但是由于我们认知的局限、研究手段的局限，我们对于大脑功能的研究还处在初步
的阶段，很多未知的东西都在等待着我们去解答。这里主要综述一下神经科学发展
史以及科学理论变迁之后科学思想的变化。
在神经科学的发展史上，主要存在着以下3个大的争论：
1、 关于大脑和意识的争论：大脑和意识究竟是相互孤立的还是还是统一的，意
识究竟是大脑的一部分还是游离于之外？由此产生了很多观点。包括孤立论观点、
同一论观点、平行论观点、二元论观点等。
2、 局部定位论（localism）和整体论（holism）的争论：特定的脑部区域是否
仅仅和特定的功能相联系，还是大脑以一个整体参与所有的功能体现。
3、 是否有除了视觉、听觉、嗅觉、味觉、和触压觉之外第六感的存在，即所谓
的灵魂，这是一个我们尚未深入研究因而一切还处于未知的领域。
