1.最明显的: MULE PG 是一块白的(跟ELK 一样), 尾巴是一根细棍似的, 白的 WITH
BLACK TIP. WHITETAIL PG 跟身上一样颜色, 尾巴是大毛刷,尾巴上面颜色跟身上一样,
下面是白的.
2. 角, MULE DEER 是分叉再分叉(你这头没第二次分叉,应该是两岁半).WHITETAIL 是
一根水平的MAIN BEEM, CURVE TOWARD FRONT, 分枝都是从MAIN BEAM 上往上长.
3. 脸. MULE DEER 的SNOUT (鼻冲)是很淡的灰白色,额头一块深色. WHITETAIL SNOUT
比身上稍淡点但不是淡到灰白, 额头也不是很深色.
4. 耳朵. MULE DEER 比WHITETAIL大,得和头大小看比例, 这个没经验的比较难看

前一阵看了1999年、2002年、2005年拍摄的星战123，做过汇报；现在看完了1977年、
1980年、1983年拍的星战456。两相对比，差异明显：早期的科幻片在技术和情节设计

之前准备好的其他工具也一应齐全，动手吧！
之所以要换pickup，是因为有一次在比较我的les paul和suhr modern的时候，我发现
suhr的pickup在比较高的gain下依旧声音很分明，但是lp的声音就感觉很糊，而且我对
这把lp的neck pickup一直都不太满意。suhr modern基本上cover了high gain的部分，
所以我打算在lp上弄点vintage点的东西
熟悉pickup的朋友应该都不会对bare knuckle太陌生，bk算是pickup界里响当当的牌子
，手工绕制，口碑很好。mule算是bk里知名度可能最高的一个系列了，属于vintage类
型，输出比较小的那种。适合blues,rock,jazz. BK的pickup价格属于中上，偶尔可以
找到比较好的deal
换pickup的过程基本很顺利，美国的电烙铁比较坑爹的是头都是尖的，造成受热面积小
，特别是在那么小的空间里，有时很难不碰到其他的导线...
说说换完之后的感觉

这是经济危机前的事，现在每瓶要涨到八个quarter，——靠柜外站着，凉爽的喝了边
休息边聊天；倘肯多花4个quarter， 便可以买一碟花生，或者一小盘donut ，做下酒
物了，如果出到十几个quarter，那就能买一小盘鸡翅，但 这些顾客，多是牛仔裤加t-
shirt，大抵没有这样阔绰。只有穿西装的，才踱进店面隔壁的房子里，要 酒要菜，慢
慢地坐喝。

In my opinion, the voting right is better to be assigned on "the mule or

今天唠叨唠叨老二的故事。
当年，我的中学语文老师,形容一个人之于另外一个人，一件事之于另外一件事,有过之
而无不及时,喜欢用一个词“平方”。
比方说，某女生太过泼辣，动辄将同坐的男生，打得抱头鼠窜，他就说：“你，简直是
王熙凤的平方”。
某女生娇弱，稍不如意，就哭鼻子抹泪，他会问：“你怎么是林黛玉的平方”？
班里一数学才子，上课从不听讲，历次考试，包括高考都能考出让人艳羡的成绩，自然
就被他描述成“陈景润的平方”。
以此类推就有了“悲剧的平方”“滑稽的平方”“笨蛋的平方”……等等。
借用老师的逻辑，我们把楚梅的老大亚伦，比作“犟驴”，那么，她的老二杰森，就是
“犟驴的平方”。
如果按照美国人的说辞，把亚伦说成是“stubborn as a mule（像骡子一样倔强）”那
杰森堪称“stubborn as a mule squared（犟骡的平方）”

这次South Kaibab Trail 上的mule's excrement的问题
大为好转, 也许是还没有到游客用mule的旺季；
South Kaibab Trail上多了几处落石，大到让所有头盔都失去
任何意义。最新的一处刚过Cottonwood Camp ground(南侧)，
把山道完全占据，ranger还没有来得及进行清理；
从US-89转到AZ-67以后长约15 miles的高速两边的森林全部被
大火烧成焦炭。见过那片美丽山林的人一定会惋惜那不经意的绝版；
沿着AZ-67，在遥远的树林和高速公路之间的大片草地上，在倒映
着蓝天白云的点点水塘之间，到处都是悠然的白尾鹿群；
回到North Rim一个小时(1:00 PM Sun)，艳阳之下突然乌云密
布，接着冰雹倾泻而下，车窗玻璃很快就被碎冰完全盖住。车顶上
叮叮咚咚的声音并没有影响睡眠，醒来的时候外面依然艳阳高照，
人声嘈杂，车上的碎冰却连影子都找不到了； |

间、道旁甚至公路中心，都可能不期而遇。麋鹿更知道居住城市的舒适，不时闯入民宅
花圃，或是盘踞高尔夫球场饱餐；大角羊较倾向山野，偶然也会霸路拦车索要食物。麋
鹿的表亲骡鹿（Mule deer）及白尾鹿（White-tailed deer）经常出没路旁觅食，两种
鹿有时还亲上加亲,合作产生骡尾鹿（Mule-tail deer）。鹿科里身材最高壮的大角鹿

让山羊得以在高山悬崖行走自如，因而谷地少见，只有春天雪融之际，山羊"下凡"舔食

山居民，黑熊习惯觅食谷地，尤其冬眠出洞后，路边不时可见。洛基山上也见鼠辈横行

好是用水做负重，下山的时候倒掉。给你个大致的我们的bench mark: 4 miles, 3300
ft, 2小时及格，1:30优秀。不是说你体能达不到就一定不能登，但是你如果能及格就
会有一定的saftey margin。登山不是跑road race，you can't go all out. when
things happen, rescue might not be immediately available, 即使是Rainier，
rescue也经常是days away
技术上，我们一般都很general的教alpine rock & glacier。我们用的教材是freedom
of the hills 8th edition。书的权威性我不做评价，大家见仁见智。我读过的书也不
少。craig connnally的the mountaineering handbook和cosley & houston的alpine

10.如果是rectangular的睡袋，而且天气又冷的话，在脖子和帐篷中间塞一圈毯子什么
的，形成一个气囊就不冷了，脚也不要伸到睡袋最下面。头怕冷可以带个帽子。
11.黄石里面的propane气罐（16.4oz)还是挺贵的，平均一个比walmart贵4块。
12.这次动物基本上都是在上半个八字转的时候看到的。3次熊，还有个小cub，几次
moose,一次coyote.看到最多的是mule deer和bison。比较奇怪的是公的几乎没看到，
比如没有看到公moose。公mule deer也才看到了两三次。
13.Billings的Avis还挺好的,好像店主就是夫妻俩。我们定的是orbitz的air+car
package.他们的车在机场外面一直等了一个多小时。我们租的是fullsize的车，装东西
有点不够，给我们找了一辆subaru的outback。所以要提醒大家的是4个人camping一定
要租辆suv，不然东西是装不下的。 |

离开Zabriskie Point不远，就到了Twenty Mule Team Canyon，大概在Death Valley
生产矿石的日子里，这里有一只由20头驴子组成的小分队负责运输，由此得名吧。
2.7 mile长的土路，单向通行。我们去的时候正好road close了，
只能步行进去看看。
与其说是土路，不如说是条干涸的河床，某些地段棱角分明，坚硬无比。
轮胎薄点的车进去还是比较危险爆胎的。 |

我想那种短程的，比如abyss overlook mule ride, 三小时
我打了电话过去，还能定到6月中旬的。但关键是需要骑的人会英语。
所以我父母骑不来了。我就放弃了。 |

Mule trip好像有身高限制，4ft7inch？昨天读yelp上的mule trip快笑死我了。一个人
遇到了懒驴，guide也不帮忙，只是说驴不走就抽它。所以这人抽了那头驴6个小时，出
来直接崩溃

这次的旅游被我评价为在米国，规划最优，景色最佳的一次体验，所以记录下来供后人
参考
一 准备工作
1.机票，黄石附近有三个机场，cody东边，Jackson Hole南边, 北面的Bozeman，另外
几个太远就不推荐了。如果不必考虑太多价格因素(包括租车、住宿)，首推Jackson hole,
因为它就在grand teton国家公园南面一点儿，另外cody牛仔小镇也是不错的选择。这次我
用了UA的积分直接换了机票，周五晚上6点去，周三早上7点回，总共4天5夜 的游玩，效率比
较高，时间也比较充裕。如果时间丰富又不怕辛苦的同学也可以考虑飞到salt lake city的
玩法。
2.旅馆和租车，周五和周二晚上的住宿在机场旁边的Jackson hole小镇，都是通过它的
网站http://www.jacksonholewy.com/default.aspx直接预订的，因为orbitz之类
