发点澳大利亚简单的纪录吧。前两周主要干活了，没怎么玩。后面两周去了Uluru，
Cairns和Sydney。
7／24－8／1 Melbourne 开会，Wildlife sanctuary, Great Ocean Road
在墨尔本的前面五天一直阴雨连绵。刚从100度高温的Michigan飞过来，我和roommate
都生病了，两人此起彼伏地咳嗽。周末gg飞过来，我们一起去了墨尔本周边的一个
Wildlife sanctuary,买了一包玉米谷子去喂园子里的Eastern Grey Kangroo。这种袋
鼠很温顺，看到吃的就一颠儿一颠儿地过来吃我手里的东西。好些母袋鼠的袋子里都有
宝宝，有些袋鼠宝宝都好大了还在妈妈的袋子里。公袋鼠明显抢起吃的东西来比较暴力

以上的一大把，加上公司100% match 6-12% 401k， 公司服务到退休有一次性上百万的
pension，还有一周工作四天一周工作五天，每年5周vacation，加州风景再美，这些能
比吗？

去年十二月真是湿冷。接连五日的暴雨终于过去时，我们的房子已赫然被一汪小小的池

，对着一面被雨水洗褪了色的红墙发呆。整个圣芭芭拉城都糊在雨里，仿佛一幅打湿了
的水彩——天空的铅灰、大海的苍白、瓦屋顶的酡红、路边灌木的深绿相互侵染，使每

华盛顿附近旅行心得——第三部分：远足
首先声明：我其实比较烦“攻略”之类的东西。我认为，宁可少去几个地方，但每去一
个地方都用心感受，比蜻蜓点水地去很多地方、留下一堆“到此一游”的照片要强得多
。另外，我个人的兴趣是自然景色、野生动物以及历史人文，当然我会侧重于这些方面
；如果你感兴趣的是游乐场、购物天堂，可以就此打住。
怎么定义“远足”呢？我曾经一口气开到波士顿、佛蒙特，甚至多伦多，还有一次开到
了西海岸（不过不是一口气，而是几口气）。如果把这些算作“远足”，那就止不住了
。所以我想还是现实一点比较好，这样也能将篇幅控制一下。那就暂且定义为离华盛顿
开车大约不超过四个钟头吧！这样的话，如果你精力旺盛，可以当天回来；当然如果有
一个长周末的话就更加从容了。
那我就从东面开始顺时针绕一圈吧！华盛顿正东面有马里兰首府安纳波利斯（

That's not the exact story with Barona - I can tell you what the story/
background is in person heh. But for all intents and purposes, they watch
that game closely yeah and now it's gone forever (at least likely forever).
Oceans is a small card club but decent size player pool. 10/20 NL always
runs 2 tables Tuesday and Friday, and often the game goes into Wednesday/
Saturday primetime. There is usually a 5/10 as well (500-3000 buy-in).

青藏高原本身是被抬升的古Cimmerian 板块，连南边的喜马拉雅山脉都是古Tethys洋的

The ratio between the stable isotopes of carbon (12C/13C) seems to indicate
that significant changes in the carbon cycle took place starting about 500,
000 to 1 million years before the end of the Permian Period and crossing the
boundary into the Induan Age (the first age of the Triassic Period). These
changes appear to coincide closely with two Permian extinction events,
suggesting some cause-and-effect relationship with changes in the carbon
