说只能公证SIGNATURE，换了一家BRANCH，就公证了PASSPORT COPY。；建议换家BRANCH
试一试。不用写申请，直接带PASSPORT元件和复印件去。 |

看IRS2013年新规定，好像只可以

more valid document which I don’t have. I called many times to request my
passport back, but the representative doesn’t know how to submit a request.
I may have to send a letter to the office.
Does anyone have the experience to deal with this?

and help from you here.
My passport will expire May 2011, less than half year from Dec 2010, does
that affect my chance of getting visa stamping? Heard people say passport
has to be at least half or one year valid.
P.S. i got degree in economics and working for economics/financial
consulting firm, don't think that's a sensitive major and job, isn't it?

birth certificate. After she sent the scanned one to Chinese consulate NY.
They answered that they received it but did not give her the date to pick up
new passport. I contacted them by email. They only told me to check online.
There is no date online. What can I do? I need to go there to pick it up.

最近有不少同学需要拍照片，外面太贵，自己DIY的话，没有趁手的软件的话 还是有些
麻烦的。
这里介绍一个非常简单的方法，只要有个基本的电脑就行了。
首先当然是拍照片，该洗脸的洗脸，该刮胡子的刮胡子，这里就不多说了。
拍好以后去国务院的网站
http://travel.state.gov/passport/pptphotoreq/pptphotoreq_5333.h
上面有个 Use the Department of State’s free photo tool,
只要你的电脑装了 Flash player 就能用。把脑袋套在模子里，把照片截下来，保存，
就基本可以了。这个照片是2x2的，可以直接拿去打印，不过一张照片只能有一个人头。
如果想节省一些，可以用windows 里的 Paint,把照片打开，然后去菜单选择属性，把

Is there any way I can get emergency extension from NY Chinese Consulate
cause I need to go out of boarder to Canada but re-entry to US requires
validity of passport at lease 6 months beyond admittance. Is that true ?
Anybody knows?

usa, if your passport expires sooner than your visa, they may stamp your
passport's expire date instead of your visa expire date. |
