岸偏北的一座海滨城市。 里面出现了一些香草的名字：欧芹（Parsley）、鼠尾草（
sage）、迷迭香（rosemary）和百里香（thyme）都是当地（Scarborough Fair）著名
的香草，并且有着各自不同的象征意义，这四种植物与死亡有着某种联系， 放到歌词

要说这首歌的来历，容我来装一段B。
最早的踪迹是一首中世纪的苏格兰民歌，在Francis James Child收集的民歌集Child
Ballads 里面排第二位。“parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme”来自Child
Ballads 里面的第一首歌，不知道是后人借过去的还是唱串了。
现在我们听到的曲子最早出现在Audrey Coppard1956年的唱片English Folk Songs里，
但Audrey Coppard是跟 Ewan MacColl学的这首歌。

Fair，请海上云为片子写歌词，于是有了这颗美丽的海之心。云漫老师是摄影界的专业
人士，玩摄影的人很多都知道他。海上云的填词我也放在这。这里有不少喜欢写诗的。

第一次听，是在大一圣诞前夕。围在寝室里做手工礼物时，这个旋律不经意地从录音机
里飘出。那种娓娓道来的伤感，波澜不惊下的暗涌，立刻攫取了我的心。那时还流行纸
卡和写信，是电子风暴袭来前最后温馨的夜晚。
一年后，遇到同样喜欢这首歌的人。一起看烛光浮在平安夜的水面，一起和着声轻轻地
唱起来。心灵相通的感觉，无需诉诸言语。
又一年，跟好友在晚会上合唱。当吉他前奏缓缓响起，喧嚣的会场霎时安静。后来同学
说那是当晚最精彩的节目，而我，只是在唱给一个人听。
那时的天总是很蓝，日子总过得太慢。
你总说毕业遥遥无期，转眼就各奔东西。

Scarborough Fair 是七十年代著名二重唱 Simon & Garfunkel 所唱的名曲。这首歌旋
律优美，乍听之下可能以为是情歌还是什么的。但如果仔细听听，你会发现两人叠唱的
上下两声部的歌词是不一样的。上面第一声部唱的是一派鸟语花香的情景，而第二声部
唱的是什么？看看这段歌词：
War bellows, blazing in scarlet battalions.
Generals order their soldiers to kill and to fight for a cause they've long
ago forgotten.
这是一首彻头彻尾的反战歌曲，但却隐藏在优美的旋律之下，描写战争的残酷与荒谬。

University of Toronto 的 Computer Science Department 一样强，还是弱很多
（相当于美国什么档次的学校？）？看他们的program最多只有computer science
major,
但系里的教授却全是University of Toronto的CS系的。

泥原词意境吧，三生石、永恒也符合曲调的高远之意吧？只是觉得这个中文词有点工笔
画的感觉，文字装饰意义强而内功略浅；有些字词和曲调的节奏没有配合好。还觉得伴
奏的乐器编排不太理想，缺点原曲的缥缈感……照片没怎么看，光听歌了。

词是从摄影作品而来的。原先海上写的是对“2002年第一场雪”的曲子，但那个我没找
到好的伴奏，太次的伴奏实在配不上云漫老师的摄影作品，是我转选了Scarborough
Fair的。因为这个伴奏不错。

云漫老师给我片子，我不想随便找首歌，云漫在摄影界是有名望的，所以我请海上云给
片子写歌词，就是要照片子写出歌词来，这个有点命题作文了。
当时海上听到一首刀郎的《2002年第一场雪》的曲子写了这歌词，但他听的那个版本没
有伴奏，我找了个midi伴奏真是差极了，我还是免强唱了，但后来实在太糟，我自己都
不喜欢，我觉得对不住云漫老师的作品，当时我也已传了youtube，反想一般，后来我
果断撤下来，我重新找曲子，是我找了Scarborough Fair,因为能对上歌词，伴奏也不
错，我唱起来也能进入角色。这个唱好后，很受欢迎。
不必拘泥不假，园园唱得也没得说，就是总感觉要表达的意思与曲境不在一个频道。此 |

海上原先是对《2002年第一场雪》填的，我没找到好的伴奏，唱了一版实在没味道，自
己不喜欢。是我找了Scarborough Fair，因为这个伴奏质量不错，唱起来有感觉。上传
后凡响很不错。比2002年第一场雪点击高多了，后来我就把2002年的那个删掉了。

整个这首曲子的诠释角度，是按照唯美角度诠释的，而
Scarborough Fair 这首歌的确可以从唯美角度诠释。
从唯美角度诠释同时也是符合 Hayley 的自身经历的，你让
Hayley 这个年轻漂亮金发美眉去诠释成一个苦大仇深的歌，
估计十有八九变成为赋新词强作愁。。。
另外从音乐市场角度说。。。俺的日子已经很苦逼了。。。再
让俺听苦逼歌，这日子没法过了。。。
技术角度，classic 的装饰跟 80 年代港台的装饰是不一样的。
pop 源自 classic，所以装饰音型有些相像是自然的。但是
classic 有一定的精确性的要求，即便是 classic-crossover。
每个装饰音从什么 pitch 开始，结束在哪里，都有一定的要求。
并且要演唱的清楚不含糊。并且装饰音要有一定的目的。。。

高中的时候有一次年级晚会，班里出节目，一首是四部的雨夜花，一首是二部的sound
of silence。当时对sound of silence惊为天人。同时也知道了这首Scarborough Fair
，还有四种香料的名字，当时觉得香料的那一句即cool又好听。上大学以后看了
Graduate，对电影很不感冒，但还是很喜欢用吉他弹唱这首歌。那时弹不出那些花儿来
