工资一般，比博后高不少倒是，不过对他来说，R&D可能更有意思，也更符合他的背景。
现在没有其他offer，我们有绿卡。他有几个问题麻烦大家解答一下：
1。QC scientist 比 R&D scientist 哪个更稳定？（假设单位规模差不多）
2。如果QC做得不顺心了，转R&D还可能吗？更有利吗？
3。这个职位在医院的GMP facility，以后如果想转公司的Q&C有帮助吗？

发帖数: 841 | 2 就一个offer，那就没什么好犹豫的了，比博后肯定强。QC scientist一般都是公司里
production facility在招。医院里的较特殊。应该看清楚是grant支持的，还是医院支
持的。Funding support会不稳。 但GMP以后往公司里跳应该不太难。我知道很多公司
里的R&D scientist转做QC了，反过来的没大听说。

Junior BIOINFORMATICS SCIENTIST $140,000
Senior BIOINFORMATICS SCIENTIST $127,000
BIOINFORMATICS SCIENTIST $121,000
Junior 工资反而高应该是sample size太小，可能title一般不写junior
又看了一下，indeed是说Junior的sources < 75，我猜可能只有几个 |

in US both pharma and consumer healthcare of GSK set Senior Scientist D2 for
fresh phd. and Senior Scientist D1 for phd with 5 more years post-phd
experience. Principle scientist is C band and is considered as manager level
, usually it asks for phd plus 10+ years experience. 而且很多博士干了十几年
也升不到principle,因为leadership不够。另外pharma要求高一些，通常d2根本不招刚
毕业没有博士后经验的人，至少也得毕业两年以上啊。 |

发帖数: 164 | 31 Amgen理论上鼓励publication，但是因为跟个人表现，评bonus关系不大，大家都不是
很热心（毕竟要占你很多工作时间）。而且发表的数据都是不准备再用到的data，而且
也不能是正在做的target/drug，所以一般也比较难发好文章。
Genentech有些职位是必需发表文章的，是个人评比的标准。有些职位即使不发文章，
也需要有publication，例如软件包之类的。
各个公司的title基本上无法比较。Amgen别说scientist，即使principal scientist也
可能是老哥一个。如果你是从PhD或者postdoc直接进工业界，不论你文章多好，博后时
间多长，也不可能直接让你带一个组。至于title，也是跟你进的组有关，不同组的叫
法可能都不一样。

最近面了两个data scientist的职位，title虽然是data scientist，
但是从感觉上面来说很像是data analyst，分别是Netflix和YouTube。我个人是应用数
学的，做一些运筹优化和learning的东西。
第一轮都是和recruiter谈一谈，Netflix比较强调他们的culture，特别
嘱咐了要看他们的slides，聊的过程中也提到了很多这方面的内容。Youtube
相对随意的多，主要就是讲讲简历上面的东西。
第二轮，netflix问了会不会hadoop, hive，是否熟悉hadoop streaming interface，
我个人了解一些，但是在学校用的这个机会没有，所以就没追问下去。再就是问了

发帖数: 193 | 50 统计master，这几个月除了复习machine learning方面的东西，还自学了python甚至
ipython notebook，动手做了几个小project，简历应该没大问题，python，sql，R，
SAS，machine learning，predictive modeling这些关键词都有，好几个recruiter都
说简历看起来很好，只是有一年多的gap，但感觉很多人都还表示可以理解。
投了简历要么没回音，要么就是据信，有一两个面试，面了之后感觉他们其实招的不是
data scientist，就是data analyst，有的是公司只招一个data scientist让新建一个
组当光杆司令，我自己没有data scientist的经验，也想去个有了几个人的组，跟有经
验的多学习，跟人表达了这个意思之后，人家可能就觉得你能力不行。
