在看王尔德传记时，self-develpment这个词不止一次的出现引起我的兴趣和思考。不仅
是因为在这本书里看见，这个词本身早便成为我最关心的话题之一。早在很多年前，好象
是远古一样的大学刚刚毕业，满心喜悦而野心勃勃地想要不惜一切手段走捷径使自己成为
自己希望成为的人，那
时开始关注人的self-development，想看别人，尤其是我仰慕的人是如何做的。
直到现在我还以为，假如世间的事情大多是讲求节制、以浅尝辙止为佳的话，
self-development是一个例外。正如那句古谚语说的，“活到老学到老”，
self-development也正是这样一个没有尽头、老死方休的过程，它必然如此，不管是有心
还是无意。

was there, Illinois was Big Ten regular season champions (or close to

议我开一个SEP IRA，因为可以多放钱进去，比transitional Ira放的钱多。今年情况
变化，我进了一家公司作为employee，大概工作一周四天半，但公司没有任何ira或者
401k，然后我又可以作为self employed工作一天半，这样我的收入大部分从公司获得
，小部分从self employed获得，而不是去年那样，所有的收入都是self employed获得。
在这种情况下，我还可以开个self employed 401k吗？还是继续SEP IRA? 这两个可以
同时有吗？有点摸不清，请高人解答，多谢了 |

compensation.公司会同时向IRS申报这笔费用。
Self employment tax并不是指只有自雇的taxper才需要缴付。consulting fee,
commission fee,tips,神职人员的housing allowance 都subjected to self-
employment tax.这是因为公司在付给你先生咨询费的时候没有withhold social
security and medicare tax.
这里说明一些，self employment taxes不同于individual 的income tax.Self -
employment tax是指 social security tax and medicare tax only.Social security
tax rate是6.2%， medicare tax rate是1.45%

昨天去修理店又看了一下，人家告诉我，我的车的suspension是self-leveling的。我
打算网上买的新suspension不是self-leveling的，所以修理店劝我买他能帮我找到的
跟我的车一个型号的老车上面的suspension。而且这样也只用换driver一侧的而不是两
侧frontd都换。
我的车是02年的而且是最后一代，我担心老的suspension挺不了多久。可是有确实不想
丧失self-leveling的功能。
最好的想法就是能在网上找到适合我的车的新的有self-leveling功能的suspension。
但是一旦找不到，我应该选择哪个？价格上新的一对儿380,老的那个卖我150.

是Obama Care.
传统上，大家以为保险是雇主从医疗保险公司购买保险，然后保险费员工个人分摊一部
分，雇主分摊一部分。但你知道绝大部分有规模的公司或其他机构，也就是员工有几百
人以上的，医疗保险其实是Self funded. 那些大型公司更是。
Self funded就是医疗费用是由雇主负担的。而那些保险公司（比如Blue Cross,HAP等
等）只是负责管理。你看病的账单由医生送给保险公司，保险公司审查一下，把你要付
的那部分，公司付的部分分清。公司付的那部分保险公司会把账单送到雇主那儿，由雇
主负担。也就是雇主公司掏钱为你付医疗费用。保险公司只是负责管理。
雇主通过两个途径让员工分担费用。一个是员工付Premium, 一个是Deductible 和
Copay.
随着医疗费用的持续增长，雇主公司为了减少成本，就会增加员工的premium， 增加
Deductible 和Copay。Obama Care对雇主提供的医疗保险引起的增长不是很多。但也不

点了self就完事大吉了，但是点other person的话，又是一大堆问题。
妈妈房产证，股票基金存款一堆，是不是选self就行了？
还是这种探亲的B2签证一定要选other person, 然后填child（我）来支付这旅行的费
用才可以过？ |

发帖数: 682 | 32 我们这边所有的cvs基本上都改成self checkout了。有些self check out oop不能为0
诶，要小二来approve，但是有些店貌似又可以。。不过可以不用算帐，一个人可以很
悠闲地想做几单就做几单。另外crt只要扫了，不管那单有没有cancel，都不可以在
self check out上用了，这样会导致那个机器死掉。。。这种情况貌似小二都没有办法
搞定的，只好把机器强制关机重启。我曾经只有一次subtotal负，因为cover了税，所
以最后oop为几分钱。但是一般情况下不建议把subtotal弄成负的，因为可能会导致机
器崩溃死机，慎用。
不可以用要输入面值的coupon，机会说invalid coupon,这个可以叫看机器小二来帮你
手动。
另外992胖子在cashier那边貌似会beep，因为要选tax还是non-tax，但是self
checkout不会，只是反应很慢。 |

这个新工具是USCIS 最近推出来的，很有意思，他的本意是提供自己或者employer用来
查询是否申请人的背景和他的信息是否相符，不过这个审核也是对应了USCIS自己使用
的DHS的security check 系统。大蜜也去做了个测试，现在是clear了，但是基于大蜜
本身485被审核打18个月的经历，不知道之前要是自己也去run会什么结果。 不过呢，
这个可以供大家在485 阶段如果等待时间超过normal processing time后做的一个自我
审查所用。

employment这个事实。就是说，还会按照self-employment的要求，查2年的tax return
，如果公司的tax是另外报的，还需要看公司的tax return。
income是衡量还款能力的，银行会不遗余力的去verify。话说回来，如果income没有保
障，就算拿下贷款，也只是加重自己的负担，一旦foreclosure，以后想贷款都难了，
估计连信用卡都没得用了。 |

其他都是五六岁的孩子。上次家长会老师提出我儿子有self stimulating的问题，比如
在circle time时候，注意力不集中，喜欢clapping/banging- make sound；有一些
repetitive behavior，比如喜欢玩门，开关水龙头，还有玩灯的开关; 还有就是gross
/fine motor skills差，比如不太会写字，自己名字都写不好, 什么单腿跳跳不了几步
，或单腿站不了多久，扔球给他他接不住等。老师得出结论：可能由于以上原因，我儿
子现在在academic方面比同龄孩子要差一些。
怎么说呢，我儿子是顽皮，男孩子嘛，就是精力旺盛，但是还是挺听话的，至少在家里
还是挺乖的，什么事情我只要和他讲道理，他一般不会耍赖闹人。老师说circle time
注意力不集中，我觉得一是这么大孩子attention span不可能太长，二是可能是老师讲

，不是sale price。不过因为**off**的coupon本来就很少，况且一起结一单成还可以
减少oop，所以我都是尽量结成一单的.
我们这里好像大家都不愿意用self checkout，所以看机器的小二常常对着cashier那边
长长的队伍喊，大家快来用self checkout，这个很方便的，而且不用排对，可以节省
时间，云云～～～
以后要搬到一个没cvs的地方，郁闷死了。 |

Business上的并不把这一部分作为self-employment income。
请问怎么可以把这一部分作为self-employment income（比如通过不同的公司形式？）
我们的主要目的是可以maximize solo 401k的contribution（note：我们的情况暂时不
需要考虑这样做带来的额外self employment tax）。
今年第一次遇到这种情况，非常感谢大家提供一些建议 |
