公平。
tortoise不是有很多品种么？想养russian tortoise，因为听说是体积最小的，可以一
直在室内饲
养。但是看图片上，有些russian tortoise还是很漂亮的，有些就灰不溜秋的，不好看
。我还是很看
中壳壳的美观的。有些品种就很漂亮，比如Leopard tortoise，但是听说会长很大，将
来肯定要放在
院子里，而我们家短期内可能没有条件放养。
我的问题就是russian tortoise壳壳漂不漂亮是取决于你喂养护理得好不好，还是天生
什么样就什么
样？会不会小时候刚出生很好看，长大了就越了越灰不溜秋了？如果养其他品种的
tortoise，它们要多

渡渡鸟，或作嘟嘟鸟（Dodo），拉丁学名：Raphus cucullatus又称毛里求斯渡渡鸟、
愚鸠、孤鸽，是仅产于印度洋毛里求斯岛上一种不会飞的鸟。这种鸟在被人类发现后仅
仅176年的时间里，便由于人类的捕杀和人类活动的影响彻底绝灭，堪称是除恐龙之外
最著名的已灭绝动物之一。也是毛里求斯唯一被定为国鸟的已灭绝鸟类。
牛津大学自然史博物馆（Oxford University Museum of Natural History）中，曾经
陈列有渡渡鸟最后一个完整的填充标本（标本号OUM 11605），可惜在1755年由于腐烂

俄罗斯乌龟是最小的乌龟之一，壳体长十五至二十厘米，更小的只有它的近亲埃及乌龟
了，不过埃及乌龟在野外已经快灭绝了，宠物市场上非常少见。俄罗斯乌龟性格温和，

俄罗斯乌龟是纯素食的，以各种叶子为食，不能吃含糖或蛋白质的食物。它们有四个脚

汇总一下。某天在后院发现一只乌龟，鉴于后院总有不请自来的小动物出没，俺也没在
意，随它去了。结果后来基本上每天都能见到，原来这家伙变成常驻的了。每天都坚持
不懈，慢腾腾的在各块菜地间爬来爬去，什么新鲜吃什么，冬天的生菜，春天的莴笋，
夏天的西红柿，而且西红柿只吃红的，绿的不要。
后来这家伙胆子越来越大，俺拔草的时候，它就悉悉索索爬过来看，浇水的时候顺便洗

有一天，看到一丛花无风自动，很奇怪，出去抓了个现行，下面那种绿色的龟倒是很常

要在窝里准备一个大而且浅的水盘，不能是瓷的或塑料的太光滑的那种，那样的它爬进去就爬不出来
了。总之既要有水，又要有陆地。养不好会缺钙，壳会软掉烂掉。吃草也吃肉虫子和鱼。
还是把它放回到水边或者河边吧，最好树多的地方。水生的动物，寄生虫更多，而且很恶劣。可以吓
唬你公公说有血吸虫
对了，你在哪个州？有box turtle的地方，应该是南方比较暖和。有些州，在petsmart，petco
里就可以买到russian tortoise，倒是可以给你公公买只，比较好养。但还是要花上$150左右买
些设备。什么都没有，只是在个盆里养着，就是要它死，而且是很慢很痛苦的死法。

我听后摇听的不多，主要是不太喜欢，觉得没劲。不过也有些还行的。细节我就不说了
。就说一些主观的判断好坏的办法。基本上我觉得听后摇最重要的三个乐队就是Mogwai
,Sigur Ros和GYBE。我说他们重要不是说我觉得这三个是最好的。而是说这三个乐队可
以做一个标杆，分水岭。之后的乐队都受这三个影响较大，和之前的后摇差别相当大。
细节我也就不说了。总之比这三个早，以及跟他们同期的后摇或者跟后摇沾边的，基本
都能听。比他们晚的后摇里面能听的概率好像就很低，越晚越低，大部分都很差劲。当
然有些是老人儿组的新乐队就得具体分析了。另外日本的也还行。
所以我推荐八张早期（的绝对经典后摇专辑
Talk Talk-Spirit of Eden
Slint-Spiderland
Talk Talk-Laughing Stock
Tortoise-Tortoise
Bark Psychosis-Hex
Cul De Sac-ECIM
Disco Inferno-D.I.Go Pop
Labradford-Prazison

临时被抓去做口译，好在会议发言比较口语化，大都能顺利应付。有几个词卡壳了，和
译友们切磋一下：
1. 一担谷子
一听谷子心一凉，惭愧五谷不分。一会儿翻成rice，一会儿翻成wheat……回来查字典
，一说millet（查中文是小米、黍，又去查黍……），一说unhusked/unhulled rice（
未脱壳的稻谷）。发言人说的是湖南江永的瑶族女人以前社会地位较高，有支配家产的
权力。有的结拜姐妹捐出十几担谷子，作为共同的基金用于投资。猜想是稻谷吧？“担
”我也没翻出来，回来查是picul，一担50公斤。我该上山下乡一趟……
2. 甲骨文
我翻成writings on the tortoise's shells，心里知道还有写在牛骨和其他骨头上的
，对不起殷墟了……回来查到甲骨的正式翻译是oracle bone，甲骨文可翻成
