What's wrong with you parents? And what's wrong with having a life?
Some people don't even know what they really like when they graduate from
college!!!!
I feel really sorry for your kid to have a parent like you!

的出发点是正确的吗？如果是孩子自己挑选的路，当然要指导。如果是受大人的影响，
14岁太早了。。。
important skillsets (not in any particular order): reading, writing,
logical reasoning, math, science, people skills.... basically all the skills
he/she is learning in school.
a bit too early to focus on 精算 itself. but if he/she is sure that this is
what he/she wants（NOT influenced by parents or other adults) , then you
could try to find a mentor for him/her - an actuary that can be his/per pen
pal to help give specific guidance and answer any questions. a lot of large
actuarial departments in insurance companies have this kind of program, and
most actuaries are open to provide this kind of help - the key is you have
to be 100% sure this is what your child wants from his/her heart... not what
you want for him/her.....

最近还看见娱乐网站说有个叫James Deen的porn star, 自称从8岁就开始梦想要当porn
star,现在不但成了真的porn star，还被邀请参加演出非porn的主流电影了。
所以，14岁立志干精算真的没什么大不了的

Check this out...
A lot of kids in U.S. prepare their career path from high school. For
example, If you want to be a doctor or Pharmacist you must study advance
courses such as AP Bio, AP Chemistry, etc.
海外的孩子说是没有国内孩子读书的压力大，其实他们更早脱离了某种天真，成熟的资
本主义体制，让孩子很早就失去了内心的自由。而国内的孩子，虽然学校、家长看上去
逼着他们学习很多他们并不喜欢的东西，但是摩擦都是表面的，内心里，孩子还是孩子
。即便说出许多小大人的话，也是一眼就能看穿的稚气。

发帖数: 130 | 10 there is the the obvious focus on exam taking skills (math stats etc), but I
would like to caution you against losing sight of other VERY important
skills like basic reading, writing and social skills in general.
Although a necessary part of of being an actuary, passing actuarial exams
quickly doesn't guarantee a successful actuarial career. I have seen a lot
of fast track exam passers that flew through exams, but face difficulty in
the work environment due to lack of communication/people skills.
putting extra effort on math related area is great, but for a 14 year old,
please DO NOT lose sight of other important skills.... | a*****g

行, 目前性格比较外向(被老师要求她去练喻加以便上课老实一点), 选择这个50% 和大
人的影响有关系. 她叔叔在水银保险做电脑,每天和资本家做殊死的搏斗, 他转过3次专
业, 法律-海洋生物--电脑...经常感叹假如..我们常常在想自己孩子将来的职业是什么
, 叔叔说女生学精算很好,如何如何,现在先把基础打好,数学好的人将来做哪行都成.她
自己有兴趣似乎是来自初中学校里每年的职业event, 就是各大公司,商号来学校做广告

even after the unlikely case of a layoff...
not a bad choice of career, after the first few exam taking years, actuaries
