Preliminary investigation indicates a man driving a black 2014 Ford Focus
was traveling southbound on Muncaster Mill Road south of Olde Mill Run when
his vehicle inexplicably collided with a white Ford Taurus that was heading
north.
According to Capt. Starks, a woman driving the Taurus died at the scene.
Juan Francisco Diana, 34, of Silver Spring, was behind the wheel of the
black Focus. He was taken to Suburban Hospital with serious, but non-life-
threatening injuries. | m********s

The suspect, Natalia Simmons, 36, was northbound on Route 25A in a 2013
Nissan Rogue when she veered into the oncoming southbound lane and slammed
into a 2012 Toyota Camry head-on in Smithtown shortly after midnight,
authorities said.
Emergency responders rushed the Toyota's driver, Larry Garwood, 59, to St.
Catherine of Siena Medical Center but he could not be saved, police said

nature strip while the Tarago landed on its side on the road.
The male driver of the Camry died at the scene, while his female passenger
was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where she died of her injuries a
short time later.
The male driver of the van has been taken to The Alfred hospital in a
critical condition.

Thomas' son Julius Thomas Jr., 16, was also killed on impact, and the
teenager's mother, Carrie May Habersham, 41, was pronounced dead a short

According to state troopers, the Toyota Camry driven by Mr. Thomas was
traveling on the wrong side of the road when the accident occurred.

Police say Jared Reifschneider, 27, of the 100 block of Hooper Avenue in Bay
Terrace, was heading the wrong way down the westbound side of the Staten
Island Expressway, near the South Avenue exit, when his 2007 Toyota Camry
slammed into a 2012 Camry heading in the correct direction.
The 2012 Camry was driven by Nicola Tizi, 74, who suffered unspecified
injuries and was taken to Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze,
according to sources. His passenger, Raffaella Russo, 29, died on the scene,
police said.
