I recently went there and was extremely disapointed with the food and
service. I was told they are in transition as the old chef Kenzo is gone. I
will never go back as the sushi was awful as was the service, Very sad :-(

Where is Kenzo? We went here a few weeks ago to find Kenzo is gone, there
is a new owner and a new sushi chef. We were sadly disappointed to find that
the new chef did not know how to make many of Kenzo's specialties and some
items on the menu were not available. The owner seemed genuinely concerned
with our small order and disappointment. I wish her the best and in the
meantime will hope that Kenzo reappears in the area, as he is one of its
best chefs.

Since my last review, something rather terrible has happened at Haiku. I
went in the other night expecting to chat with Kenzo and eat his wonderful
food. No Kenzo, chaos in the kitchen with a cook who couldn't keep up--saw
things that would make the health dept. cringe. A new owner I heard but the
same menu, promising Kenzo's food. My food was terrible but I felt sorry for
the cook who was overwhelmed and out of many ingredients. And for some of
the unwitting customers. I was told that Kenzo had sold the business but
might be back. Don't go near the place until something settles down. |
