兄弟我刚开始打算申请teaching school的assistant professor.看到HigherEd上面列
出了很多学校,有的学校看上去很怪异的样子,人也很少,地方相当的偏僻...用google
map一看感觉象是到了黄土高原.....
比如这个学校,
http://www.lptc.bia.edu/
居然招聘的是computer science chair....是不是比assistant professor高级??
不知道过来人都是怎样找teaching school的呢,是不是反正不是research school的都
是teaching school呢???

professorship) or chairperson of a department. You need to read the advertisement.
Teaching school has different definition. It can mean higher teaching load.
Or it can refer to a school that does not have a Ph.D program. It depends on
your discipline. Talk to your Ph.D advisor. | X*****r

have an opening for an AP position.
location has nothing to do with the type of the univ.
an AP is almost never a chair anywhere.
teaching school: in general, teaching load will be at least 3+3 (up to 4+4)
with no PhD program.
