Here is one.
in beijing, I played one of the holes. the legend goes: one guy made a +7,
and prepare to lost bet, turn out his buddy made +9. it is not about how you
win, it is all about how you do not lost.
that Kris guy, why would he go for the green the rough, after Sean layup
already. After sean played poorly with pitching, why would he choose to go
for it from bunker. for his first putt, knowing that if he put easily two
putts to force another hole playoff, why would choose to go for it again? | u***L

would do, when its an easy chip to get inside 3 ft.
I can never judge how hard to putt thru the fringe, but I can control how
far my chip shot will roll when landed on the green. | v***s

From tee, 290 to the water, then need carry 200 over the water, either side
of water is OB. since the fairway from tee to the water is downslope, it is
very hard to find a flat place to shot a perfect shot to carry 200 yards
water.
i made a +8, since i drove OB from the tee box, which made the hole even
worse.
if i play that hole again, i would play it very differently though. i would
just take two shots to get into water, and then drop around the rim of the
water to find a flat surface to carry 200. If i am lucky to get over the
water (ie, no OB from the side of the water), i would play my 5th shot from
the last shot to reach the green. again if lucky, 2 putts. so 1 tee shot + 1
into water + 1 penalty + 1 carry 200 + 1 approach green + 2 putt = 7. I
think that would be the best I can do. if 3 putts, i would at least end up
with tripple-boggey, any OB or multiple OB, I would expect +5 or more.

发帖数: 4031 | 6 I feel lucky I haven't got a four putts from at least three fringe long
puttings in the last two games. My confidence level on my putting has been
high, kind of, after having a few games with good putting. Usually, I am
more comfortable with my chipping on fringe than my putting.

water within two shots but close to a good area for dropping. I am also
planning to drop the ball again.

要不然就要求high loft club, 5/6 hybrid/iron to carry 200. 业余即使能， 也
很少保证在uneven lie 每次都carry200.
或则2nd shot short pitch 打到一个平的地方。完全用来set up. 有trouble 的时候， 不能一直想则向前。
我有一次在sunol valley #9 590 左右的long par 5, 天很黑了， 全部用picthing wedge, 打远了根本早不到球。 结果3 putts +2. 比我想2on mess up 的时候效果不差。

上，没有一根杆子有80%以上的把握，让球直飞200码的。
候， 不能一直想则向前。
