So, I guess there might be something wrong with your backswing which kills
the consistency and distance. I myself am a beginner. Thus I cannot tell you
exactly why. But if I were you, I would pay attention to the normal swing
mechanism, like grip, takeaway, posture, wrist hinge, impact position, etc.
As your swing becomes more consistent, you will probably gain more distance. | t***u
