have one network card installed. I want to share data between them. so bought
a corssover cat5e cable, and get computers connected.
I set the internal IP address to desktop as 192.168.0.0, and laptop as
192.168.0.1, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. in the network cards' ICP/IP
configuration window. and set them belong to tha same domain as HOME with
different computer names.
the problem is both of the computers indicated | kb 发帖数: 73 | 2 First, enable DHCP service on you XP Pro, set its IP address to 192.168.0.1
Then set your laptop to use DHCP, and restart it.
Now it should be OK.

| z****l 发帖数: 5282 | 4 192.168.0.0 is not a usable IP address for your NIC. Next time you can select
IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254.
192.168.0.1
pro.
