。上周拿到了offer并且去International students office办了I20 tranfer request
传真回去了。现在我们系的Graduate Coordinator今天找我谈话说如果我不再这里读完
硕士（两年）就走的话，他就要起诉我，因为我们签的offer letter里面又一句话是"
By accepting this offer you accept your obligation of completing your
Masters in Mechanical Enginerring with us, to the best of your ability."他是

发帖数: 77 | 2 I'd think they don't have a case.
1. Argue that there is no breach of contract. you have tried to the best of
your ability (long distance relationship is beyond your ability, as would
be the case with any reasonable person).
2. Argue that even if there is a breach, there would be no remedy. Court
will not force specific performance when personal service is involved.
There can be no monetary damage either because the department will have a
hard time proving any damage to the reputation/status |
