a posthumously completed novel, animated by grand ambition, that explores
boredom and bureaucracy in the American workplace.

虹被三个评委一致推选获奖，但普利策委员会坚持认为此书无法卒读，拒绝发奖，而评
委也不肯让步，所以干脆空缺。今年入围的Pale King是华莱士遗作，而这个作者又被
认为是品钦式作家。不知道今年有无当年相似的内幕。 |

from the good squad。我个人觉得小说用新视角，新语言来写当代生活比较有意义，
给我阅读上的快感也最多。

是他，看介绍很神的样子。我现在越来越喜欢看怪的，看红轮的翻译说索尔仁的好多话
都不通，就赶快把红轮买回来了。 |
