现任都没有申请permit，而且从来没有让town的inspector进过屋
1。要owner补办，结局就是买了以后property tax上涨
2。憋着不办，怕以后town来找麻烦，而且resell会碰到同样的问题
而且没有permit的update，将来出了什么问题，insurance上会不会有问题。比如如果
电路着火，insurance公司会不会说你这个是没有permit的update导致的，拒绝索赔呢
？还是我想太多了
两难阿，大家遇到过这种情况么？谢谢了 |

there is no un-permitted add-on, just total renovation of 2.5 bathrooms (
things like added jacuzzi/new bathtub/marble tile) and the kitchen (granite
counter top/new cabinet/new appliance), plus water heater in the basement
and sky window on the living room roof.
are the permits for these job expensive and difficult to get? Property tax
in our area is pretty high and we really worry about the further increase
after getting permit done.

and will notice the permit violations. Then you will have to spend money
fixing it up first, which can cost a lot.

since he wants to close the deal asap. The permit application in our town
can take as much as a few months.
usually what amount of credit should we ask if we want to take all the
permit trouble on our own? proportional to the cost of all renovation jobs?

something to do with plumbing or electric, the permit is required. If the
job is only like cabinet or tile, most likely I will not need a permit.
This is really ridiculous. The current owner did the renovation and enjoy
the riding of avoiding tax without the permit.
Right now I have to suffer all the consequences if I want to do things right
. All the current owner has to do is to pay a small amount of permit fee to
