government, guaranteed. The bad part is your property will be inspected
every year to satisfy the government requirements. If you are planning to
rent to section 8 tenants, the application time will be very long.
Try to avoid section 8 if you can.

whether you can handle and then decide.

我不理解的是seller agent为啥问我能不能继续租给他们,管agent什么事呢 | r******d
发帖数: 1879 | 5 Because section 8 tenants are not regular tenants. Government need to
inspect your house every year if you rent to the section 8 people. The house
your agent selling now belongs to tenants occupation. Your agent just wanna
make sure you are aware of this situation and OK with that. And you will
not get surprise at last min.
Some people may not like section 8 tenants and it might take longer time to
vacant the house.
If you don't wanna rent to section 8, your agent might look for other offers
who is OK with that, I guess.

发帖数: 612 | 8 这就不用考虑了。我对面邻居是律师，5年前搬到这里好学区，他们在差学区的房子很
久没有卖掉。同时又有section 8的租户求租，他们当时心一软就答应租了。结果就悲
剧了。租户对他们的房子简直就是abuse，我邻居过了几个月去检查，原来好好的房子
变成了hell。举个例子，租户的黑孩子们把餐厅的chandaliers吊灯当秋千玩，整个灯
就下来了，天花板搞了个大窟窿。因为是section 8，租户不用做任何赔偿。我邻居还
得去自己修！anyway，他跟我说等这家离开后（不知何年何月）他马上会sue政府。
