if you don't start service, other residents have to cover for you, which is going be extra stressful for the program,also you need to get used to the system asap at the begining, so don't delay the starting day.
instead, you can try to ask for a light month, like outpatient or elective month, so that you can still
have time for your family issue.

少住院医干过这样的事情。不过我是精神科，本身就比较轻松些，而且同年人不少，有
12个，可能cover起来也比较容易些。反正PD是二话不说就答应了，现在收到的
contract就是9月开始的。 | s*******r
发帖数: 174 | 4 要看program的具体轮转安排，有的地方第一年12个月都是call months，那就不可能了
。有的地方选修多，选修的时候不指望你干活，就不会对program的排班有什么影响。
不过对你自己的影响还是挺大的，第一你会miss orientation，a lot to learn. 第二
如果打算申请专科，三年级你不能按时毕业会耽误一年。第三如风mm说的，一开始就把
自己给放到spot light下了。i would only do it with no other choice...best

现在的情况比想象的严重。属于不得不延期。PC好像还不太愿意。PD只是说most
important is what PC has to say. 这种事情上PC决定权大吗？
