I am a old CMG (>15 years). I have been a Tele RN for past 10 years in a
local hospital. I have always put my family's needs first and it is finally
my turn to do what I have always dreamed of, which is to be a doctor.
I am apparently a little late this year. I will only have step 1 and CS
scores by September.
I would like to know whether the observership is absolutly necessary before
the application. On the other hand, it will be hard to get the reference
letters from MDs if I do not do the observership.
If it is a absolute must-have thing, I will focus on the CS and observership
now and sort of get on my CK track after the application.
I would like to know that what is more important, CK or Observership. I wish
that I do not have to choose between these two. But I am a little behind
this year and I want to catch the match this year as much as possible.
I have no idea whether this question is technically difficult or easy due to
lack of the knowledge.

Chestnuts: no prior OB into a university program.
