z*****g 发帖数: 558 | 1 I was a staying-at-home housewife/Mom for more than 3 years before match. I
was asked indirectly by my current PD about the gap. I said I had a baby,
but I quickly changed the subject by saying "however".
Here was my strategies:
1) I studied English in the community college, I learned blabla... The point
is that I have improved English..... "If you meet nice interviewer, they
probably say your English is good"
2) I volunteered in my local hospital.... The point is that now I know about
the medical system in the USA, notice the difference from China, and also
know in what aspects I need to improve.
3) I joined the local community activities. .... The point is that I learned
the culture thing, and improved my English, etc.
...............
My point is that "First say what you have done, then talk about how you have
improved"
Hope this is helpful for those stay-at-home Moms like I was. | m******r 发帖数: 1904 | |
