7.Living kidney donation is common in United States. Most are for their own children,brother and sisters. There are more living kidney donation than deceased kidney donation. Maybe 7000 living case to 6000 deceased kidney donation.

quite different from your report here.
About 1 - I like your point about alcoholism; I would not donate my liver to
any alcoholics for sure. On the other hand, decompensated liver can be
caused by lots of etilologies, including PBC, HBV, HCV, liver cancer,
medication overdose, alcohol abuse of cause, and so on and so forth. Lots of
patients can live quit a long time after the surgery.
About 2: Dose pancrease make insulin only?
About 3: They have a committee, they vote every time to decide who can be
put on the list, who should be off the list, and they use MELD score to
decide who gets the liver first.
just my 2 cents
by the way, lots of Asian people got HBV infection, you may think about the
subspelciaty :)

labile blood sugar and frequent non-joking hypoglycemia. I believe they
benefit from a pancreas transplant.
I have nothing to do with transplant and the above is from a grand round I
