Following our conference yesterday afternoon（10/14/2011）I consulted
with an ESL teacher and she told me that I was incorrect when I asked you to
encourage Hannah to practice her English at home through conversation.
She said that over time English will become more and more comfortable for
Hannah because she is immersed in it all day at school. She said that it is
very important that Hannah not lose her Mandarin - it is a part of who she
is.
She also thought that focusing on English conversation within the family
would cause stress for both Hannah and for the family.
Please accept my apologies. Of course, as her parents, you know her best
and have all along been doing what is right and best for Hannah. I am
thankful to partner with you here at school.
