JCP pledged 3xx of its stores for 2B ish loan. The value is about 45-50$
per sqft. It owns additional <100 stores that cannot be part of the
mortgage. Credit analysts have better idea of JCP's book value. Most
equity analysts are useless at this point.

not able to find a buyer acceptable to its creditors before its July 17
bidding deadline, and therefore began liquidating its remaining 399 retail
outlets on July 22, with the last remaining stores closing their doors on
