There is always fish there but our mind might get tired and can not
make the best decision. You should take more break when you are losing since you
get somewhat frustrated.
Suggest the book named " element of poker" , recommended by Phil Galfond.
It talks a lot about taking break, quiting etc.

It talks a lot about the overall management outside poker, which we do
not pay enough attention, like taking break, quitting, tilt control etc. I
do not see many books on this subject.

of books that deal with emotional control, money management, and other
things too. Poker strategy is just one part of poker. However, I agree with
you that The Elements of Poker is a good book. I started to realized that
after I read it second time.

一趟还动不动上千，好几千，是不？
否则就是和自己过不去。作为业余live选手，俺们不可能从量上大幅提高，要说
badbeats轻松面对，也是假话。咱跑一趟，坐半天，多少还是有些期望值的，真一盆冷
水浇头上，郁闷不可避免。要听？出门听那群抽烟的，个个都在抱怨驴多蠢，自己多背
，一年365天，哪天都不少。周而复始，唠唠叨叨，廉价同情。
此外，别指望稳定赢钱，咱没那么大的edge，可以轻易抵消swings。这东西就是一个智
力游戏，99.99%的人都发不了财的，即使是小财。
桌子不理想就换，毛驴未必是你今天的晚饭，象俺周末碰见的韩国人，俺是真想啃它几
口，可是桌子换了几个人，风头变了，从风格和相对position来讲，俺都没有胜算卷进
去，cash out开路就是了，打个几小时，其实驴也知道咱几分，没那么蠢。
不tilt脑袋热掉，再进去3 buy-ins，就是进步，回家，就象看电影也不都是喜剧或者
咱想看的结局。

you to quit. It is like drug addict after the initial excitement. You will
be only left with regrets and suffering. Enjoy playing or have some

顺便问下，高手们一般带几个buyin去玩1/2，我虽然带着银行卡，但是当输到一两个

You got to know what your edge is if you want to win. E.g., you are relaxed,
while your opponents are on tilt. You are paying attention and reading your
opponent, while they are not. You know the odds, while they don't. etc.
Table selection is crucial. You only have an edge if your opponents play
worse than you. Even then, you expect to win over large number of hands, not
necessarily in a few hands played in 10 hours.
There is a book called psychology of poker, which might be helpful. It helps
you realize why you are playing poker.
It would be best if you are playing for entertainment with disposable income
you can afford to lose. Even then, it is critical to implement good money
management. As iin investment, you got to have a stop loss so you know
before hand how much you are going to lose in the worse case scenario.

Usually carry 3-4 buyin. Most ppl would be somewhat on tilt after losin 4
buyin, at least I would, so best +EV option is to quit and come back another
day.

plan to lose all in the worse case, but a lot of times, we'll have to deal
with situations like 1 quick buy-in loss and then card dead for hours or
even 2nd buy-in down.
if i lose about 3 buy-ins, i'd leave since i know it will need some sort of
miracles to fill this hole at such low stake.

而且，长期玩poker，需要大概3000－5000个BB
