"Young, Unemployed and Living on the Street"
Would like to share with people here. I found it very interesting or even
shocking.
"I was born in America alongside 4 brothers and sisters and 8 cousins. When
I was 16 we moved to New Zealand and I am now 48. From the 13 children all
of my siblings gained degrees, are professionals and live across the globe
raising their own children and grandchildren in their own homes with little
debt. From the remaining 8 USA based cousins one was killed in a gang drug
war, one is in prison, three are divorced and struggling financially working
to support childcare, one developed a severe mental health disorder and two
hold blue collar jobs in California. I asked my parents who are living a
great retirement in a fishing town why we did so well and our cousins lives
are mostly shattered or struggling. His answer was simple, "wealth is gained
from lifes experiences and in New Zealand the distractions of greed, drugs
and poor education do not spoil that experience". Good luck USA." |
