dancer don't go to bed early - just see how late the pro heats are
scheduled in any major comp; usually the final comes around 10:30pm. For
common people, it is time to wind down and finish the day, but the pros have
to get ready for the most important moment of a comp.

is it. Paul Graham wrote (paraphrased from http://www.paulgraham.com/procrastination.html) one should at best work on things likely to be part of one's obituary. At this point I feel there'd be little difference if my obituary read "worked for 6 years at Facebook" vs. 7, 8 etc. But if I helped people get code written better, that's a lure I wasn't willing to not seize.

周末本来是去Black Peak的，星期五早上North Cascades HWY因为洪水关闭，只能临时
另找地方。Stan和John几个星期前刚刚爬过Guye的Improbable Traverse，就提议带我
们去那里，毕竟他们很熟悉路线。那条路线是5.8的，我在网上查了一下，5.8的move只
有2-3个，是balancy move，而且前后都有piton，（对我来说就意味着实在不行可以
aid了），感觉还是可以试试的。问Stan和John路线的rating有多stiff，一个回答说主
要的concern在approach上的一段class 4的friction的scramble，因为刚下了一个星期
的雨，石头上肯定还很潮，另一个说觉得hiking out is the most difficult part，
貌似都觉得climbing本身并不难，于是大家纷纷表示愿意去Guye。
星期天早上7点在North Bend集合，一起开车过去。停车场就在Guye的west face正下方

Andrei Karlov大使正在和土耳其当局讨论上周末晚些时候开始的阿勒颇东部撤离事宜
。他也是今年4月土耳其政府与莫斯科进行接触的主要渠道。
去年11月土耳其击落俄罗斯战机后，土俄两国关系恶化，俄罗斯以贸易禁运和取消赴土

和蒙古鞑靼入侵塑造俄罗斯民族文化历史的故事，更是作为画家的Andrei Rublev直接
周遭生活的原生态。3个半小时的片子叙事方式和节奏不同寻常，连看完都需要勇气，
好奇心和决心。我估计版上99％的人没看过，即使曾经尝试过也可能很快就放弃了。从
技术成就和想法上看，不得不说这是个超级大牛片，从片头二十分钟就看得出来，但是
接下来就要考验耐性了，但是入了戏后考验变成欣赏，你也就不会认为是个什么痛苦的
要完成的作业了。铁杆影迷们可以一试。

小说的主题是人物传记。这是一种本来应该是基于真实事件的文体。但是当现实不足以
让传记作者赚足眼球，名利双收的时候。为了用“丰富”的内容吸引读者的眼球，传记
作者就干脆把人物传记采编成用真实人物作主人公的小说，最大限度的满足了读者窥探
他人隐私的需求。此时任何谎言都可以堂而皇之的成为被人欣赏的"作品"。
andrei codrescu小说本身无疑是虚构的，但是正因为他没有标榜自己的真实性，反而
比众多的纪实作品更加有说服力。

18年前震惊俄罗斯社会的变态杀人魔齐卡提洛(Andrei Chikatilo)被判处死刑枪毙后，美国两名数学家经过多年研究，发现他谋杀被害人的时间间隔，疑似遵循“魔鬼阶梯”的函数公式。
据台湾今日新闻网引述英国《每日邮报》报道，美国数学家西姆金(Mikhail Simkin)和罗伊乔杜里(Vwani Roychowdhury)研究了俄罗斯杀人魔齐卡提洛的犯案行为模式，发现他的杀人“节奏”可以推测出一个数学模型，而作案动机类似癫痫发作。
齐卡提洛是俄罗斯恶名昭彰的变态杀人魔，在1978年至1990年这12年间，至少杀死了53名被害人，最小的受害人甚至只有8岁，因为作案地点大多在俄罗斯西部城市罗斯托夫，因此有“罗斯托夫屠夫”之称，在当时封闭的苏联社会带来震撼弹。

不过德国人比较文明，没有妖魔化苏联红军，不象米疣。相反，对红军营长andrei还有
非常人性化的描写，在1945年春柏林众多的暴力性交中，女主人andrei的算是还有点感
情的。

fantastic camp and I learned a lot from Jay. A few things are truly eye-
opening. What I think was my best area (flexion/extension) is actually my
worst, and what I think was my worst area (fore-aft balance) is actually
not that bad. Also I realize I did some of the release moves (two-footed
release and weighted release) completely wrong. Now I have a much better
