，年轻时要build up自己的skill sets。今年初到现在，申请了这边几个小药厂的
Biostatistician工作，都没有成，主要是一Biotech比较注重Title，master很难有好
的Career；二是class I medical device，Pharma不是很看中。
大家可以从行业的可持续性上发表一下看法吗？

biostatistician 的位置多一些呢？ 其实在学校做的大部分都是一些data management
(data cleanning, gen tables and graphs) 和 linear / logistic regression. 只
是学校给的title 好看一点， 钱却不实惠，换工作也很受限制。 |

Graduate或1－2年经验的。看底线有47K的，估计是PhD，Master全算进去了。这么看来
平均86K还是很恐怖的高的，尤其是那个最高177K的。应该比东北部NJ，NY的强多了，
更不用说中部，德州的了。
当然，加州的住房水平也不敢恭维，看Living版那80W的小破房让我对加州望而却步了
。所以这个工资水平还是靠谱的。 |

。我知道自己的斤两很有限，离senior十万八千里呢，但是是在本地，我也不想浪费这
么好的一个机会，希望大家能不吝赐教，senior的职位需要知道些什么东西呢？
补充一下，是master level的senior，主要还是写sas code方面的，比如说macro之类

career track也不同。好的机构选人很严，无论master还是phd. 这些地方，我觉得
master的发展空间肯定要比phd有限，但是差别在于薪水和职位的天花板有多高。天花
板高一些地方，薪水如果能比较高，职位达到一定的自由度，那还是很不错的，适合事
业和家庭兼顾，对工资要求不特别高的人。
我觉得如果在50岁上下投靠这样的机构，工资说的过去，那也不错。 |

Chicago: 105000
Nj: 105000, 110000
上面都是base salary. Target bonus 9-15%不等。
感觉fresh配的很不错。很多工作5-10年的统计师base salary也就比这个高25-50%而已。 |

biostatistician, you should get a Ph.D in statistics, to be really
successful in your career. If you don't want to work on a Ph.D, you might
just find a SAS programmer position. I refer to pharmaceutical companies.
You might still do well in other industries to have a MS and a statistician.
