了。到了现在这个学校，今天有个tutorial的学生（不是lecture）找coordinator，说
学习有困难。coordinator问是什么原因，那学生居然说听不明白我的口音！！我知道
后真是火气大啊。中国人口音有是一定的，但是我这么多年，从来没有学生向我或者向
coordinator说过我口音重听不懂。而且我很实在的说，我的英文在中国人中说的是相
当不错了。而且上tutorial的时候，我是每一步都在黑板上写（教的是统计学），如果
学不好，只有一个原因：就是学习不努力！
我觉得愤怒的是，这完全是一个借口！怎么有这种恶心的学生，我努力认真地教了，不

地毯有霉味，当时以为是前住户的问题，开窗通风，期间一直住小卧。LZ怀孕，对味道
很敏感。
8月中旬味道一直没散，请人清洗地毯才发现是卫生间淋浴水管漏水，渗到主卧地毯
。造成放在地上所有纸盒子都湿了，里面有给新生儿准备的衣服和尿布。物业管理处让
人在墙上砸了一个大洞换了水管，喷洗了地毯，期间各种化学剂味道。。。但是一周后
地毯霉味一直在。
LZ联系了物业管理，提出1、换房子 2、赔偿，主卧一直没法住。Area Coordinator
（女）说1、换房子要等，他们要先处理new application再处理transfer，可能要到学
期末.2、不赔偿。
投诉至上一级director（男），说帮我们联系Area Coordinator换房，但是不赔偿
。今天发邮件给assign了一个房间,我们过去看房子，问候了一下楼下的邻居。结果邻
居告诉我们：楼上新分配的房间漏水，物业让他们2周之内搬家，给了他们3个房间选择
。他们正在搬，不明白楼上为什么还给分配出去了。

的，他说过两天可以跟我的recruiter联系，问结果，但recruiter没有跟我联系。是不
CS的。
估计我是他家史上电面最drama的例子了，第一次约电面，scheduling coordinator没
有跟我确认时间当然也没发google doc，到了约定时间没人打电话，就跟recruiter说
了，他很快回复说要reschedule，约了一周后的周二早上，这次scheduling
coordinator很快就联系确认时间，但是到了时间还是没人打电话，30分钟后给
coordinator发信，说没人打电话，她很快回复说面试的人deeply sorry，问当天有没
其他时间可以面，就改约了下午，这次面试的人准时打电话过来，说自己schedule弄混
了，非常抱歉之类的，我说了no worry。
不管怎样，这次经历挺奇葩的。 |

我之前在英国的大学里工作了5年，做 Program Manager. 去年年底来了美国后因为H4
签证原因，一直没有工作。 这周刚刚拿到 H4 EAD。
前一段时间面了一个工作，今天刚拿到了offer. 但是职位比我之前低， 是Program
Assistant， 但是line manager 是Director. 待遇还可以，工作也比较轻松，但是我
还是比较倾向于做 Program Manager 或者至少是 Program Coordinator， 这样和我之
前的工作衔接会好一点。 其实3个月以前申请过同大学同部门的Program Coordinator
，面试也很顺利，工作职责我也更加喜欢， 但是由于当时没有EAD, 他们又需要人尽快
上班， 所以上次就没work out。
现在犹豫到底是接受这个差强人意的offer， 等以后部门有了Coordinator 或者
Manager 的职位后我再内部申请好呢， 还是继续找别的工作。

问清楚保险收哪家lab,然后明确告诉OB office的护士，必须把血样送到这家lab. 不过
即使这样，我的经历告诉我，保险公司也会搞错，护士仍然会搞错，所以保险公司一般
我打电话重复问4次，因为有时候每次问的结果都不一样，保险公司说话从来都不算数
，这你也是知道的，一般我都会尽可能要到书面的东西，以便日后扯皮的时候能有点东
西证明一下。保险公司的电话有时候很难打，要等30-45分钟是常有的，所以最好早上8
点去看病，这样容易联系到。护士那里我会反反复复的盯着，因为人多手杂，护士很糊
涂，即使这样，她们仍然会出错送错lab，但是一般是小错，大错都被我查出来了。
然后这些特别的检查，就更要小心再小心了。 通常这些检查，都是自己亲自给保险打
电话，问清楚保险是否cover,cover多少，指定在哪个lab做，能做几个检查，然后再把
这些要求的细则告诉OB office那里，然后再让他们开单子去做检查。
你再说这个要code,这是我每次检查之前都做的事情，很正常的。 问题是，即使好不容

发帖数: 1011 | 42 个人感觉是，既然coordinator宁可欺负你这个外籍研究生也要保全美国小本，就
没啥好顾忌的了。如果你这么好被打发，在这个coordinator管事下，这样的事情
恐怕还会接着来吧。所谓“我知道这个guy，我找他谈谈”能确保发生并有成效吗？
支持向更上面一级complain，或者说--“咨询”。不要多等email，争取面谈。
出发点可以在于这也是影响你们(在系里)教学的事情。(如果coordinator"办事不力"）
不过主要建议是“放宽心”。mean的小本“太多”了。不值得为他们太多影响自己。
即便是在complain，也注意调整好自己的情绪去讲。

我们学校的两个MS专业，都是1年半读完。
MS in Medical Statistics 是在 Department of Biostatistics
MS in Clinical Research Coordinator 是在School of Nurse
Clinical Research Coordinator只有周五有课，感觉比较简单，合适part-time。
Medical Statistics 要求比较高，要先修本科的课。
当然最重要的是，那个更好找到工作。
已经错误读完不错学校生物PhD，4年Postdoc，走不下去，人生最黑暗的时候，这一步
实在不能在错了！

的权限。Projectized organization里project team report to PM因此起主要管理和
决策职能；Functional organization里PM多数是一个coordinator的角色；另外还有in
between的Matrix organization. |

发帖数: 454 | 49 原贴忘了说了，我是学校里interntiaonal office的coordinator办的，其实不是律师
。之前也试着联系过外面的律师，感觉可能还是外面的律师会包装懂钻研。我的材料其
实组织的很粗略，coordinator都没有说要citation map之类的，感觉都只是要我提供
最基本的材料。老实讲我之前还挺担心，因为看版上大家关心的东西，我的
coordinator连过问都没有过问。（我甚至连petition letter也没有见到，不知道
claim了几个），但是他们坚持说他们一直是100%的approve rate.所以，也可能在他们
看来确实不需要那么复杂。 |
