次小白鼠，基本情况如下
F-1 签证，绿卡申请已批，排期很快就到
参加了Illinois hunting safety course，买了Illinois hunting licence
去年11月交了申请，附上了hunting licence, I-20表，绿卡申请批准收据,并写了封短
信介绍我现在的status.
在等了3个月后终于收到回信，说我的申请被拒绝，因为他们和USCIS联系过，确认了我
绿卡还没批。我不死心，给警察局打电话，问他哪条法律说非绿卡就不能申请 FOID
card了。接电话的姐姐态度很好，说要查一下，然后给我打回来。过了1个小时警察局
来电话，告诉我Illinois 刑法哪条哪款明确说非移民不能申请的。至此彻底放弃，希
望对大家有帮助。 |

发帖数: 1640 | 9 找不到原帖了，另开一贴汇报一下上周末去Southern Illinois路上看到的情况
很多闲田和open的荒地里有大片的黄花，离得远时我还以为是Yellow Rocket（十字花
科类似油菜花的），走进了才发现是Butterweed（菊科，以前分在千里光属现在单分了
一属）。这花长得很高（一米以上），花也小，没有制高点的话不太好拍，明明长得很
密了，但是近处的很容易露出茎秆。加上当天有风，我就用CPL叠了一片6档ND，想拉个
慢门把花被风吹得摇摆的样子记录下来，但是减光不够，风也不够大，花摆动幅度很小
，没能实现想象中的效果。
Southern Illinois有一点点Deep South的影子（swamp，bald cypress），跟芝加哥附
近可能不太一样，不过butterweed在Illinois分布非常广泛，高速边的闲田里经常能见
到。按纬度差来看北边也应该慢慢都开了吧，开车在空旷的地方转一转也许会有惊喜
另外推荐一下Southern Illinois，离芝加哥可能有点远，但是几个小时就能略窥Deep
South的自然风光也不失一个周末踏青的好选择。 |

才发现Illinois 从今年6月30日开始不发放 Registration Certification License，
即使我现在买书准备考试也不一定能赶上Deadline，不知道这个License是不是很重要
？不知道这个Ethic Exam准备时间需要多少，用两天时间不知够不够？
刚了解到即使没有Certification License，只要有一年的工作经验就可以拿到Full
License，想知道这个一年的工作经验是不是必须在Illinois 还是其他州也可以？现在
CPA Exam是不是永远不会Expire，只要考过一次就一直有效？ |

是Illinois 州2012 年 4 月以前考过 CPA 的可以申请 TWO TIER 的 CPA 证书，一种
是 LICENSED CPA (这种就是要积累 CPE ，每三年要更新一次的)，另一种是
REGISTERED CPA 证书 （这种也是每三年更新一次，不需要 CPE, 交钱就可以，而且永
远可以在名字后面写上 CPA, 这种证书 2012 年4 月以后考过 CPA 的就取消了）。我
因为赶上了2012 年 4 月的那个两种证书的截至期，所以一直都是两个证书都有，但是
现在很矛盾纠结要不要明年 RENEW 我的LICENSED CPA， 我现在在公司 INDUSTRY 做
财务，之前在 PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM 做过一段时间，再也不想回到PUBLIC
ACCOUNTING，以后会一直呆在 INDUSTRY 的，也不用签什么 AUDIT REPORT什么的，所

i-57, the speed limit is 65mph, as long as u stay under 75, you won't get a
speeding ticket for sure. driving between 75-80 is a little risky, and if u
decide to drive over 80, there is definitely a good chance that u gonna get
a ticket if the cop catches u.
in terms of %, 75/65=1.15, so i guess that 15%. on 90/94/80, typically
around 75 should be safe. i mean if u really want to speed, try to follow a

Kentucky工作。
现在手头有来自学校的1042-S，gross income是3500美元，最近泡了泡坛子，按照我自
己的理解：
1. 因为是第六年F1=Resident Alien. 所以用1040报税. Line 7上填W2与1042-S的
income总和.
2. Line 21上填 -5000，并且注明Tax Treaty Exempt，同时填写并附上8833.
于是有一些问题。希望懂行的大大们能指出：
- 我的1042-S上的Gross Income只有$3,500并且刚好是我2015年在校期间的全部收入，
即便不足$5,000我是否还是应该如上所述在Line-7和Line-21填写内容？
- 鉴于我从Illinois搬到了Kentucky，我应该如何向两个州分别报州税？

lexington在麻省算不错的学校，比它好或者差不多的public high school 好像还挺多
，dover，newton, weston, welleley,belmont....新英格兰地区私立牛校就更多了，
matriculation都比UC Lab强一大截。
hinsdale central是illinois比较稳定的好学区了。只有给芝大教授开的私立高中UC
Lab school和全州招生考试录取一堆nerd的Illinois math & science academy的
matriculation 能保证一直比hinsdale central强。其他几个被热衷的好学区，new

Illinois的真正麻烦是政客promised，但把matchup的钱拿去作别的用了。作别的用，
可以拿到选票，而matchup么，以后在说，反正以后别人当政客，没我啥事。
Illinois的员工，据说是不交social security的。pension的contribution是8%，政府
承诺是8%的matchup，403B没有任何matchup。如果你拿这个和一个大公司员工比：公司
给员工6。25%的SS matchup, 3-6%的401K matchup，州里不是明显地省了钱么。本来一
个双方有好处的计划，最后别政客玩死了。
