degree in CS as a transfer student. It may last 2.5 years. I also saw many
people transfer to MS in CS from other majors directly, they may only take 2
years. So what's the big difference between the BS and MS in CS in the US
regardless of the degree themselves? Thanks! |

If you could transfer to MS from other areas, you should have foundation,
otherwise you would find it's very difficult that you are likely to fail the
program.
If you don't believe me, you can have a try. Read the MS textbooks first to
have a glance. |

CS的BS远比MS重要得多。因为，1)很多基础的东西都是在BS阶段学习的。2)BS时间长。
特别是在美国这边，几乎门门专业课都有course project。能够经历4年这么多course
project磨练的学生，再差也不会差到哪里去。
美国这边中国学生很多本科不是CS的，然后只读个CS的MS，毕业之后可以差到让你触目
惊心的地步。所以无论是在美国还是在中国，我们一般招人都更看重本科学位。 |

我自己就是主做Oracle的，也最爱研究Oracle database internal
MS SQL Server和MySQL是工作所逼 ;-)
但是，我觉得对于一个新手，能找到Oracle DBA工作的可能性基本为0
MS SQL Server和MySQL却很容易找到小公司DBA的工作
当然有可能80％以上的时间在做development，20％的时间管管数据库
所以我觉得你想入这个门，可以先学学MS SQL Server和MySQL
找到一个小公司做一段DBA，边做边学习，两三年后在找Oracle的工作

网上的数据分别陈列在大约84页上，每页上大约24个记录

有啥办法，能至少转到ms excel上。是不是必须先copy/paste所有页上的记录到note
pad上才行？还是有啥更efficient 的方法？xml?

program is designed for student without accounting background. That means

1） 蛋白样品在裂解之后就上凝胶电泳分离了，然后储存在4C 在洗脱液（30%甲醇，
10% 醋酸，60%水）。由于仪器室的质谱机器坏了修了一个月，然后那个操作的老师休
假了一个月，我就去做别的，耽搁下来了，现在已经在那里放了7个月了。继续用这个
胶来做，会不会影响实验结果？ （没有任何霉菌之类产生）。
２）当时跑电泳的胶是自己配的，结果配的时候上面的浓缩胶可能是用的丙烯酰胺的浓
度有些大，结果跑出来的胶在浓缩胶里面有一些分子量大的蛋白（只看见一条比较清晰
的条带，其他的基本看不见）， 但是每个样品的蛋白条带还是清晰的。请问，还能不
能用这个胶来做LC/MS/MS? 我一般把每个样品的一条胶切成10片， 然后每片分别处理
来做质谱。
样品比较珍贵，处理也很麻烦；所以如果不影响实验结果，我想继续用它。但是作质谱
的花费也很大，如果样品不用保证出好的结果，我还是想选择去另外准备一份。

如能 用下预制的这个, 2D PAGE 后做array LC/MS-MS 才较保险
省了子弹费 现在问炮弹费 2K USD 要不要省的话 是本末倒置的做法

简单的说质谱是用来检测是哪个蛋白的。因为蛋白质胰酶裂解后会产生特定的片段，在
辅助电离后可被生物质谱鉴定，我们称为肽指纹图谱，简单的说就是特异的几组肽段分
子量，然后通过相关数
据库搜索可以得知是哪个蛋白。
对质谱鉴定技术来说是非常好可靠的，但是对你结果是否可靠则很难说，IP的条件，会
不会受到污染等直接决定了蛋白来源的可靠性。
具体到IP-MS是否好做，那要根据很多因素判断：蛋白结合强弱、质谱精度等等。通常
你能考染看到的条带鉴定起来都没问题，看不到的MS估计也没辙。
至于MS能否自己监督，任何仪器都多多少少离不开人的操作，机器自动化程度只是决定
效率而已。通常没有质谱的实验室也不会自己去搭建，一般学校都有相关core可以做 |

我是生物博，毕业回国工作几年才发现生物是个坑，想出美国来学个ms转行。为了在签
证官那里好说通为什么再学个ms，想申请和生物看起来有点关系又有区别的
bioinformatics，在生物口好像也就这个方向还比较感兴趣，也贴近cs。
国内人申请bioinfo ms的消息特别少，这个专业现在也查不到公认排名，所以想到问一
下各位：bioinformatics有没有相对容易拿到ad的学校？就像cs有几个有名的狂发ad的
学校。如果没有这种学校，那么bioinfo的大致排名也非常有帮助！
求指路！
