发帖数: 5892 | 8 11月7日是加拿大太平洋铁路竣工125周年的纪念日。传闻丢失的涉及铁路修筑工程的其中一根铁钉，被证实一直存放在总理哈珀的办公室内，联邦移民部长肯尼正在安排把这“最后一根钉”(The Last Spike)永久陈列在国会山庄内铁路委员会议事厅(Railway Committee Room)。
这枚铁钉对加拿大华社具有重大历史意义。加拿大太平洋铁路(Canadian Pacific Railway)于1885年修筑完成，数以千计华工当年曾经参与修筑加拿大太平洋铁路。而加拿大太平洋铁路竣工活动时向政要及铁路人员所颁发300枚仿制品铁钉，获赠者全是白人，参与兴建铁路的15,000华工却没有一个获邀参加这项活动。
2006年6月22日，哈珀就当年向华人征收人头税一事正式道歉，当年106岁的人头税苦主李龙基携带这枚铁钉，乘坐“平反列车(Redress Express)”来到国会山庄，由身兼铁路华工纪念基金会主席的另一名人头税苦主盘占元亲手交给哈珀，哈珀答应会把它陈列于铁路委员会议事厅之内。

1. 印度号称退役蒸汽机车的时候，搞了个万人大会庆祝，还有机车游行，他们的
railway minister 之类的大会训话， 说“ 虽然中国还在大量使用蒸汽机车， 但在印
度蒸汽机车已经成为历史古董了”
2. 从印度平原上藏南山区， 还在使用英国人留下一百年前的蒸汽机车， 好像是因为

远没有到可以弹欢酒庆的时候。
相对于中国的工业基础来说，高铁产业已经是在努力吸取着整个工业血脉的能量，借着
欧美技术的扩散之功，蓬勃发展。一大批70后乃至80后年轻的工程师和管理精英在密集
的项目锻炼中，成长起来，成为中国高铁产业真正的希望之所在。但是，需要清醒的是
，中国的高铁产业不应被赋予过多的期望，这需要整个机床，材料，电子，软件工程，
工程机械产业，等等等等的共同担当。
关于中国的高铁，“线下”部分(土建部分)基本上是中国工程人员自己闯出来的，攀钢
的高速轨一步步走过来了，轨道板的加工磨床刚刚打破德国的垄断，国产路基处理车年
内在北车刚刚下线，国产化率仅仅50%，目标国产化率80%;“线上”部分(指机车系统及
相关产业链)，现在还只处于引进，吸收这一步，所谓的集成创新也刚刚露个头，远远
谈不上大范围的自主创新。加工机床，高速车轮，轴承，控制系统…….这些基本上都
是外国的舶来品，离自己掌握吸收还差得远。整条大范围的产业链要真正的挺起脊梁来

generally speaking, low income people have lower travel demands.
if you have to work your ass off to meet the end, you simply don't have time
to travel. this make their travel very seasonal, which is totally another
topic.
these traveler might be a lot if just look at the population. but for
railway planning, it is the population x frequency that counts. hard to
